This isn't a rant or anything, it's just an unbiased concern, wondering how others feel about this.
Both Modern Warfare and Cold War launched with a battle royale. This is fine. People can play it if they want.
However, Warzone has unlocks - weapons, skins - which are directly tied to it. These aren't warzone-specific unlocks, they are for multiplayer and such. This is not fine.
It turned out that a staggering amount of players despised having to play a completely different game they didn't care about just to complete challenges for multiplayer Modern Warfare/Cold War, and ended up refunding or stopped playing the game entirely. A greater amount of players also expressed that it was too late to refund the game and they're just playing to get their money's worth, but are unhappy about being forced to play an entirely different game every single season to get the unlock they want.
I hope this doesn't happen with Battlefield 6. It sounds like a nice game. Don't want this ruining it for anyone. Does anyone else feel worried about this?
I hope DLC stuff would be introduced without any walls for us. Keeping playing field as equal as possible so matches aren't decided by 'arms race' type of situation. I feel that's for healthier environment. Completionist/progression assignments should focus on other things like dog tags and other cosmetics which doesn't affect the gameplay.
