I bought the game back when it was Orgin, since the Shift over to EA App. I can no longer play battlefield 3 says "It failed to launch" Please try again at a later time. Ive also reinstalled, this only happens with Battlefield 3.
I tried , litterally, everything.
Including install all in a virtual machine from scratch, with no other software than bf3.
Tried to track the system calls, every file touched/opened/loaded in memory with process monitor and process explorer from sysinternals.
The problem is not solvable by the user, because is in the "ea app" end. Bf3.exe is not invoked, ever.
I also managed , in the vm, to use the old origin client using every trick found around.
With the old origin client bf3 is invoked, it starts but ask for the game code. And no, deleting the related .dlf file do not work. Not to mention that I can only download the game in russin (?!?!) language.
Maybe continuing to tamper , and I say maybe, there is a chance to start bf3, but old orgin client is "locked" . You can only see "install ea app to continue", so everything else is unusable.
The ea "support" wrote me yesterday that "we have been receiving similar kind of contacts from other players as well recently". Recently, yes. Sure.

It's unbelivable.
Someone in the United States should, in their spare time, contact a lawyer just to pass the time and raise the issue of something that has been deliberately tampered with. It is clear that they have no interest in solving the problem given that it has existed since 2021.
