So turning off hyperthreading made my game run great. awesome. but what about crysis or multi-tasking....I dont want HT off just because I want to play battlefield. Just looking for EA's input on this issue. Also does anyone remember how long it took for it to be resolved on BF3?
I'ts not turning off HT that helped your game. It's loading the threads so they don't PARK. I have a 3930k and I unpark all 12 my cores with HT enabled and it runs Great! All my cores w/HT are being used

I use a program called parkcontroldist64 to turn off and on my core parking. I played the beta for 22 hrs experimenting with HT and unparking/parking cores. Using this program will let you manage cores in realtime without rebooting. It seems to have sped up Crysis 3 also. I have now started unparking my cores when I work on video editing and have seen a performance increase. Of course when I'm crusing internet or wordproccessing I turn back on coreparking to clockdown the cpu.
Does it drastically effect BF4?
It really raised my minimum FPS. Really helped out in 64 person games. My GTX 680 before core parking would range from 60 to 99 percent usage (up and down the whole time). After core unparking it always stays at 99 percent.
