Ok, post your PC spec and if you can, dxdiag analysis of your PC would be great to. Also, try to play on other modes and report back (with any problem you find since the new patch).
If this helps, please click the white XP button and to give me some XP.
If this solves your question, click the green solution button and mark it as solution so it can help others with the same problem.

Good thanks for the feedback. Post your graphic card as well. Play on any other game mode and report back.

Platform: XBOX 360
Version: The Jan. 31 Multiplayer 6 Update
I had this issue back on Friday night while playing. I joined a server through the server browser for Squad Deathmatch. I happened to hit the timing just right that the game ended right as I joined. I didn't know this at first. I was not presented with anything other than a black screen and the blinking loading icon in the top right corner of the screen.
After a very long loading time, the map that came up was different from the one displayed on the server browser. The only sound that was playing was the between match music. Once the game started, the only sound that was heard was that same music. Not once single in-game combat sound could be heard. Despite attempting to change some of the sound options in the menu, nothing fixed this problem. Here is the battlelog where this occured: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/2/429503854342266944/173182167/
After that match ended, it sounded as though it tried to fix the music, however it still played the same audio track. I left the server, went all the way back to the main menu, and then joined to a team deathmatch game via the server browser in hopes of fixing the issue. This unfortunately did not fix the issue, as the same between-game audio track continued to play and didn't allow for any other audio to play at all. This is the battlelog report for that second match: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/2/429504352843706816/173182167/
I gave up for the night and logged off entirely. I've tried to be as detailed as possible, but let me know if you have any other questions.
