Issues connecting to EA servers [Verizon Fios]

I just bought battlefield 4 and went to play online. It is telling me I need to connect to the network and the ea servers. How do I do that?

I just tried the MTU fix and it worked.
Has been happening for 3 days now for me. Live just outside Dallas, and yes of course, I have Verizon Fios
Can anyone please explain step by step on changing the mtu on an xboxone? I am computer illiterate, so please use simple terms, for my simple mind. LOL Thanks
Plano, TX Verizon Fios user here. Same issues since Monday. Can't even click on Multiplayer without getting this error. Extremely frustrating as EA and Dice have **bleep**ed things up so bad and now this.
Can someone please carefully explain how to change the MTU settings for an Xbox One user? I am not very computer-savvy and need a thorough walkthrough. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
