It's not just effecting FiOS in North Texas, it's happening to me also and I'm in League City just south of Houston. It started for me on Monday the 24th and I haven't been able to connect to a BF4 server since. I have tried to explain the situation to Verizon CSA's but after resetting my router 15 times it's still not working. I can however play if I tether to my phone which is on AT&T....

I live in Wylie, TX and also have Verizon Fios. Battlefield is the only game that does not work on my Xbox One. Been two days, and getting more than a little irritated. Have tried everything imaginable, and know without a doubt it is nothing I can help. Either EA or Verizon(not sure how or why Verizon would only block the EA Servers) need to get their stuff together.

No response from support on this? Going on three days now, and I see many people with the same issue. Any kind of update would be nice.

I can confirm that the MTU fix also works on Xbox One. If you have FIOS and an Actiontec router, you can set the MTU on your router and connect to EA servers. The MTU has to be < 1500 and a setting of 1492 has worked for me.

The MTU fix works!!! I have the PS4 and I assume this will work on XBOX. Instead of messing with router on PC. I used the PS4 network configuration setting to change it. I selected LAN. I then used custom settings. I selected first option for all but the MTU which I changed to 1492. Amazingly when I ran BF4 network features were operational. WOO HOOO!!!
I also live in Dallas TX. I spent 5 hours with Verizon tech support and they finally determined the router was bad.. Mind you this was the new upgraded router I just received two weeks ago. A weird thing was after all that I hooked up my old router and it worked go figure...

The MTU change works for me too.
- Go to my network
- Click on network settings on the left hand side
- Click on Broadband Coax
- You should get Broadband Coax properties
- Click on settings
- There you can change the MTU to less than 1500.
