Down here in Georgetown, ISP is Verizon as well, been having issues since 11 AM yesterday. Called EA Support about 4 times, no trouble shooting is working. Sent a UO Trace to them, they said it's nothing on their side that they can see.

I think it to be strange that it is only EA servers. I can connect online to my Black Ops but anything EA related.. nada!!!
- Anonymous12 years agoKeeps saying " you have lost connection to EA servers" I haven't been able to play since 2-22. I play on PS3 in dallas tx if that has anything to do with it. I just want to be able to play the game I payed premium for. Please fix this ASAP. Also on Verizon Fios.

guys the MTU fix works (pretty sure you can change on playstation as well)
search cmd in start, right click and run as administrator, in command prompt type the following (I found 1492 value from an old EA answers thread that coincidently involved fios as well) - get we get an answer from EA as to why this became a problem over night?
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1492 store=persistent

Having the same issue her in Irving with FIOS. Been on the phone with them all day. The tech is telling me there is a known issue with connections out of Texas. This is my fifth call to them and just now hearing about it funny. And only reason they admitted it is because I told them I had been reading the forums here about it. There telling me now that is on there end and should be fixed by 2pm tomorrow

Greetings from Dallas,
So the way to fix this recent issue with connecting to the EA servers using the Verizon FiOS ISP is to make a custom network connection, wired or wireless and make sure the MTU size is less than1500. I used 1472 and was able to connect without issue. My hardwired speeds improved from 34/2 Mbps to 60/10 Mbps after testing the connection after making the MTU size change. Hope this helps someone ;P

Having the same problem.
Have been having since yesterday as well. Spent both days factory restoring, re-installing games, and reconfiguring router settings.
Located in DFW area, also on verizon. Also having previously described problems with Youtube, and other services [including netflix, thanks verizon will not be renewing my service when the contract is up, those jerks].
However, what's frustrating to me, is EA's incessant need to use "EA servers" to provide servcies similar games can provide, without the need for dedicated company servers that break the second ANYTHING else goes down.
Not happy, EA. Not Happy, but at least you're not Verizon. - Anonymous12 years ago
Coppell, TX Verizon customer here. Using Xbox One, tried every solution out there (except the MTU one, I don't know how I'd go about it on an Xbox One), but nothing is working.
