Kicked from BF 3 server because of country

Need some advise on where to take this. I was recently kicked from a server (TCBF#) because I am from Canada. I consider this hugely discriminative and needs to be protested. I can see no reason why, my ping was solid and I didn't do anything wrong otherwise. The reason given was exactly this: "Sorry, players from Canada are not allowed". Not impressed and extremely offended.

  • The administrator of the server has installed a plugin which is called "country kicker". It is intended to limit access to the server to players with what the administrator determines to be an unacceptable ping. It is by country only because if settings were by ping it would kick any player whose ping fluctuates above that threshold as pings sometimes do dramaticaly fluctuate based on several factors. I'd love to have you on my U.S. Based 64 Slot Ranked BF3 Server! Your welcome anytime. I choose not to run that plugin but monitor/kick very high pingers manually.

  • In conclusion we can say that it's allowed to do what the server administrator did here. This plugin has been around the battlefield franchise for years and it has nothing to do with racism, they just want to have people with the best possible ping on their server. There are enough Battlefield 3 servers to play on and it's not worth the time complaining about the few that run this plugin.

I seem to get kicked from EU servers every now and again. I notice when multiple devices are in use in my home it lags for a second or two. I have a fast connection and ping well also, but I guess for that second or two they see the parson furthest away and react. It's all good. Many great servers out there.

I strongly believe that admins do not do this on purpose, but they are trying to avoid high pingers and the way they are doing is only allowing players from the same country to join.

An admin once posted on Battlelog and said the same thing,it is not about racism,is about avoiding high pingers.

I have set of messages received on my PSN by the admin who told me the reason for my kick .. the reason was i am not from the region where servers are located so i may be causing the lag.. when i asked him how can you find the pings as this thing is only in PC .. he told me whenever server lags he look for the psn name's and then there battlelog profile /bf3 stats and kick them if flag doesn't lies in that region ..

I am from India and currently living in London , and was playing on Europe server with full 5 signal bars ..

"it is not about racism"  did you smelled racism in my post or i did i mentioned anything about racism ?? .. i would appreciate if you kindly avoid such harsh words ..

I am sorry if I failed to explain that part,it was not ment for you in any way,I just mentioned that because I have seen a lot of posts like this:Racist admin, kicked me for being from X country.

I am sorry if I offended you in any way.

@theevilholy I'll complain all I want, don't try and tell ME what to do. I implore you to join a Canadian server and get the message "You've been kicked because players from the US are not allowed" I guarantee a colossal uproar will commence. If it was not worth complaining about I wouldn't have complained, keep your opinion to yourself, its extremely unprofessional. Also I did not ONCE mention racism, as I am the OP. Racism? lol, so now Canadian is a "race"? This thread really turned into a **** show in a hurry.

Now on to the other posters, I agree with what most have been saying but race was never a topic that even needed to be brought up. Perhaps this would be a little better "You have been kicked because you are not from the same region". @gawebdevdotcom, THANK YOU. In fact I would love to join your server and will do so shortly, I am also accepting your post as a solution to this fiasco.
