Latest update July 8 2014 broke BF4 Multi GPU on Mantle.
Before this patch Mantle was running absolutely beautiful since 14.3 now you guys said that in the latest patch you fixed some issue with duel GPU's running Mantle??? There was nothing wrong with it before the patch it was perfect! it was locked on 100% usage always giving everything possible out of the GPU and smoothly too!
Now after a short time my 2 MSI R9 290x's FPS drops to 40-60 absolutely unacceptable and lags as well from the lack of memory! It's unplayable with two R9290x's. There is a memory leak now that uses most of my ram 88% of 16GB taken up by BF4.....what!
I am so angry at the situation, who's word did you go off that duel GPU running mantle had issues and needed fixing it was running great! Did you go off one broken GPU?
Mantle was designed for the 290x specially running crossfire so this is unacceptable specially since it was performing AMAZING just before this last patch.
I could run my 2 GPU's on my 120Hz 1080p monitor running 150% resolution and still keep my FPS at 120. I kept it at 135% with maxvariablefps set to 120, and it would stay on that for most of the time and might drop down to 110. Now it is simply unplayable at any resolution.
Can you guys revert back to the last patch regarding Mantle because I have no confidence you guys will ever be able to get it back to were it was which took long enough from 14.1 to 14.3 and I think that might be the Stockholm guys doing that work, I don't know.
Just go to the Mantle thread and see what has happened:http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065224206922689/72/ [battlelog.battlefield.com]
BTW if your going to be doing testing don't use Tri-x 290/290x as from what I've seen online they are not stable cards and perform unreliably.
System Specs:
Windows 8.1
AMD Catalyst 14.6 - Haven't updated to 14.7 because it only has updates for other games and others who have haven't had any better results on your last patch using 14.7. Until DICE tells me to update it I might but there is nothing in AMD's release notes for 14.7 that tells me that it would help with the really really bad July 8 patch.
