Main menu rendering issues - Missing objects, buttons, avatars

Summarize your bug The main menu will not render 100% of the objects. Missing items/buttons and images from Left side quick buttons, background images for menus, battlepack animation videos, inventory item graphics, Soldier avatars. All text and tool tip popups (f.ex. when mousing over the quit button) are visible. Only graphical images or buttons are not visible.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure how to replicate this bug. I have tested this on a fresh installed Windows 8.1 on this same computer, there I do not get this bug. This bug is only present on this current Windows 10 install.
What happens when the bug occurs? The main menu will not render 100% of the objects. Missing items/buttons and images from Left side quick buttons, background images for menus, battlepack animation videos, inventory item graphics, Soldier avatars. All text and tool tip popups (f.ex. when mousing over the quit button) are visible. Only graphical images or buttons are not visible. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, windows is up to date and I have tried this with and without DX12 enabled in game. This was also present in the Beta build of the game, where the entire menu was invisible (Only thing showing up was a blue-black background with "OPEN BETA" in the top right corner.

Hi,

I found the problem was the location of my "My Documents" folder was set to another HDD than where the Battlefield 1 installation was.

After correcting this, Battlefield 1 loaded up perfectly.

@Haaland81 Thanks for the post. Can you start by reinstalling Origin and see if that fixes things?

You can also perform a repair of the game by right-clicking the game panel and choosing the relevant option.

If the issue persists, I know it's a long shot but by any chance do you still have the Open Beta content installed on your machine? If you remove this does it have any effect?

Oh wow, that's interesting. I'd have though that if the game didn't find the relevant folder in the standard location it would create a fresh one, which is how it normally goes.

In any case, thank you for the update, it'll be something to keep an eye open for in future.

I have the same issue, can you please advise a more detailed / complete fix?

Are you advising that there is a reference to the default location for the "my documents"folder? as in, the windows my documents folder?

Yes. Right click on "Documents" folder (win 10) an choose the "Location" tab. Check that this is set to the correct/existing path. Like c:\users\username\my documents\

I have the same problem. Tried the suggested solution without any success. The screenshot and DxDiag.txt are attached.

What I tried:

- Reinstalled Origin

- Reinstalled BF1 on both C:\ and D:\

- Tried moving "Documents\Battlefield 1" folder into both OneDrive and local Users folder

And none of the above worked for me.

@Makerpopo Where does your Battlefield 1 settings/saves folder appear "naturally"? If you check your Documents folder.

If you check the step Haaland81 mentions about filepath, where is the location for your My Documents?

It appears in the WIndows 10's Documents folder, which is set to "C:\Users\maker\Documents". I, of course, tried deleting the "Battiefield 1" folder inside it, and copying the folder into "OneDrive\Documents" folder just in case.

No, I don't have SLI configuration and I don't think I have the same issue as that. Mine only affects the main menu.
