Me and my crews' issues, suggestions, and ideas with BF4 - part 1

To whom it may concern, This will be a long post so please bear with me. I’ve been a dedicated fan of the Battlefield series for some time now. I’ve kept my mouth shut for a while now, but as it stands I got to say what I believe needs to be done to fix/augment this game. It’s just my two cents and I would like to see some of these features / issues fixed / glitches solved if possible. I have a PS3 console and a PC with a premium account. I also bought this game with premium accounts for all my friends and family members (6 friends - 8 family – Christmas gifts) that wanted to play it as well. Yes, I spent a lot of money on this game. I, and they too as well, truly love this game but it could be better. As I say, some of these statements may be wrong but this is only from what I, my family, and my friends have seen in the game. I can’t speak for the other people here that are having issues in the game, but I am writing this for me, my family, and my friends of what I / they have seen in the game and noticed and bothered them about the game. All of these following issues were created and played out while in normal mode. This note was my family’s and my suggestion, and I said I would write it for them, but I know I will get flamed, berated, cursed out, and most likely forgotten about upon posting this. Let’s start out with the glitches / issues that they and I are concerned about.

Game and Map Issues

1) Random HARD Game Crashing – I’ve noticed this a-lot before and even after the last current update. As per example, Hainan Resort. If someone destroys the center hotel and causes the levolution to kick in, anyone on the island near the hotel or facing it when it starts to fall, will suffer a severe game crash or severe lag like crazy until it crashes or you just do a KIA in the game.. Users will have to do a forced turn off of the ps3, then restart it, send a message to Sony, then do a “defrag”, then have to have it reboot again, then wait for it to log back in then restart the game and hope it connects back up to your stats page and sends you the correct info of your accomplishments. Locker does this when you destroy the “B” flag area and go anywhere near it. It’s not just the first set of maps; it does this on all the maps as I have seen too many times now. Also wanted to point out if on the locker map and someone destroys the “B” post, anyone near there will suffer a severe crash as well. This is another annoyance as well. I love the locker map, but hate the crashing when near the “B” post.(proven again 07/10/2014 it still does this even with all the current updates)

a. Commander squad crash: Having someone on your squad get into the game, then along the way they become the commander. Upon the deal of the match ending, and the commander quits the game, everyone on that squad except the commander will suffer a hard crash on their ps3 system. I proved this in a game with some family members and friends (06/20/14). All friends and family had to do a force shutdown and reboot of their system do to the fact that I became the commander in a match and played that way till the matches end. Upon the match end and to keep me from playing commander, I quit the game entirely and then restarted to link up with the “crew”. Their systems crashed and they were forced to reboot their systems.

b. Jet/Copter Ramming A Player: I’ve seen it crash when this was done to a player or me (it doesn’t matter what team they were on. If it happened in my vicinity, I usually expect it to crash the system.) I believe this can be fixed by making it so that when they bail out the jet/copter, the vehicle starts the timer for exploding. If they have passengers, well either they in for a death ride or make the second one that joined in the copter the driver automatically. Also it needs a warning to pop up if the driver is bailing in the copter to the crew. Many of deaths my character suffered do to the pilot bailing out on us and killing the team onboard.

2) The ceiling/land/holes in the map exploit. *** Problem Fixed in netcode update ***

3) I’ve ran into the issue where even though I was logged online with Sony, then when loading the game and getting to the main menu, the game could not find the stats page OR it gave me the incorrect stats OR it reduced my stats to the beginner stats. It usually happens after a hard crash. I usually have to do a forced reboot to finally get it to show the correct stats. This rebooting my PS3 deal is eventually going to kill it.

4) Many servers (Dice servers or user servers – mostly user servers now) that when logged into them, and then start the game in a map, they default you back to the basic beginner weapons. I truly thought this issue was fixed. But as of my last log-in (06/13/14) to a random sever.., and to some servers on the server list page, I see it is not. I’ve had to quit the game and find another server and cross my fingers when I logged back in.

5) On any map, when there is water placed on the map, there is a glitch animation after a player gets killed. Upon swimming though the water/ocean/whatever, and reaching dry land, if a player gets shot within 30 seconds to one minute you will see a “bubble type” animation and the sound of him “gurgling” like he is still underwater. It does it a lot of Conquest, STDM, TDM, any of the naval maps, etc. with me.

6) Map loading issues. I lost count of how many times upon a map loading and your character is already in the game, either he will have no gun, or no arms and gun, or just start running in place with either of the before-hand issues. If he happens to spawn in a vehicle, the vehicle will bounce around like it is trying to sink in the map. Or when trying to drive that vehicle, it takes it about 30 seconds up to 1 minute to get orientated to actually drive correctly.

7) China Rising map vehicles – jeeps, motorcycles should not be able to drive through the water and survive. Many times, especially on a motorcycle, I run it into the water, then my character jumps off part-way so he won’t drown, but yet the motorcycle continues on till it reaches land. I could see this happening on crossing a small river, but definitely not when you drive it upstream in the river or through the lake area. The same with tanks, jeeps, 4wheelers, etc.

8) “0”health players – I always thought/believed that “0” health or anything below “5” health should weaken the player’s character to the point that it can’t function in the game. I can not count how many times my character died due to these types of players. Shoot them with a Saiga shotgun at close range should knock them down or an RPG should totally annihilate them, but it turns out they can even kill you when they are supposed to be dead. I’ve killed players in the game to where their health was “0” (meaning they should have died), but yet they manage to kill my player with one to four hits and then his character dies finally. One shot of a Saiga only does 47 damage and that being a headshot at that. There’s something wrong there in the coding of that part of the game.

9) Random No die when shot players: I’ve played as a sniper many times, Shot other players and got a marksmen award for the kill shot, to only see their player run around or kill others and then fall over dead for no reason. This happens a lot if you catch one knifing someone and you snipe him before he kills the teammate. You get a savior bonus, a marksmen bonus, and then your teammate dies and then he dies. Also seen this happen if you snipe them when they are running at full force too.

10) Ceiling map heights: ***Issue fixed in netcode update***

11) Loadout blues. You know it really stinks that I have to go through all the **bleep** of going to the test map just so I can configure my loadouts for my classes before I join a new game. I know when starting in a new map you have the option of configuring your loadouts then.., but I’m like other people. I’m ready to play the game and not give a **bleep** about configuring the classes the way I want them. I want to get in the game, capture the objectives and help my teammates as fast and as best as I can. I propose adding a menu option to the main screen to solve this issue and add a way at the end of a map BEFORE it changes to the next map to change your class options there.

12) Single Player accomplishments: I worked hard in the single player part of this game trying to accomplish its goals. The first time, I barely made it with only a few accomplishments. The second and so on I worked at it even harder to finally accomplish everything. But alas, it seemed every time you released a patch for this game, it killed all my accomplishments. I can find where I completed it on Battlelog and it shows the exceptional scoring I did to unlock the dog tags and the weapons, and my game shows the dog tags and the weapons, but not in “my soldier/awards/assignments” section of the game. After the last patch, it still shows the dog tags and most of the weapons, but it still does not have the soldier/awards/assignments showing for completing the game parts correctly.

13) Team Squad issues. I know there are limits on the PS3 of the amount of people in a squad but my concern is this. Let’s say you’re playing the Russian side for example. If a member from another squad that is also on the Russian side is in a tank by himself, why is it almost impossible to join him in that tank if you are not on his squad? It doesn’t make sense to me. I have seen it a million times. Someone gets a copter. They are waiting to take off. I can’t join them because they are not on my squad. The only way I know is to spawn near them and then manually join the copter to get in the game. Then from then on out in that match, if they fly that copter you can manually join when they land the copter but not from the beginning map. This ability was in BC2 and somewhat an ability in BF3. It was changed over in BF4 to not let other teams join a certain squad unless you forced it to in the team setup menu area. Yes, I agree it can be done there, but you have to go through a lot to get it done and 80% of the time, it states that the team will be unbalanced. This needs to be fixed.

14) Speaking of team squad issues - Uneven squads in a game. (AKA Uneven amount of players in the game) Here’s the scenario – Your playing on a map. Your Russian side wins the map. Then most of your side leaves the game and only a couple leave the other side. When the next map starts, your side is showing a low number of people and their side is full of people. Of course your side loses the match due to not enough people on your side. I’ve seen this happen too many times as well. I propose a way to equally balance both side due to the amount of players in the game and to distribute the amount accordingly. Let’s say they have 12 people. Your side has only four. Four from their side should automatically go into your side to add to your team and should be forced to stay there until the next match starts (or unless they quit that server) for which the game decides again on the amount of people in the game. This should be fixed as well.

15) There are not enough copters, jets, and vehicles in the PS3 version of the game. When we went to war in Iraq, I guarantee we carried a massive amount of vehicles over there to help our troops. 95% of the maps on conquest that I love to play have only one copter, one jet, one tank, LAV, etc. (a map depending on its size- smaller ones are the ones with the vehicle issue) and many of the other vehicles (4wheelers, troop support trucks, etc…) I ask to have programmed in to have more than one copter, more than one tank, LAV, and more than one jet in all the maps. This way offers the players more options than just to be a foot soldier in the map and also offers a way to get those hard to get achievements for the vehicle awards. The reason I say is that most of the time when starting / playing / joining a map, the copter, the jet, tank, or whatever is taken and they use it for awhile. It does not seem fair to others who could also use a jet / copter / tank / whatever to help their team.

16) Base rushing: I get tired of playing a game where other players on your team quit or swap sides and then out of the blue, all the flags get captured and then the enemy team start “rushing” your home base. This stinks. They then do whatever is possible to destroy your base so that you have to spawn outside your base where they immediately shoot, tank kill, or bomb you on the spot. I usually end up quitting the game and move onto another server. But I am not the only one complaining about this. It happens a lot in Locker, Lancang Dam, etc…. where the bases are on land and they start only out on land. I propose you to increase the “dead zone” (or create a dead wall zone – see this idea in another post below #22) from the bases to the point of where this can no longer be accomplished. This way if they try to rush in to destroy your home base, you at least have a chance to spawn at your base and a chance to survive the spawning there. Or go with the random spawn point deal like there was in BC2 and BF3. This way your character could spawn at the base or on any random spot in the entire map including any area past were they are at.

17) Test Map: The ability to bring in more than one person into this map (on your team of course.) to test out squad battle plans. I would say a max of 4 players - all on the same side, of course.

18) Test Map again: Why is it that the weapons do a lot more damage in the test map than they do in the actual game play? I took an engineer, gave him a SRAW, and then proceeded to shoot down the surveillance plane above. I did it in one shot. In the game on parcel storm, I tried this same deal again. It took 3 shots. (The first exploded for some odd-unknown reason / the last two hit dead on in the middle of the plane.) Again, do to patches; the SRAW has been weakened severely to the point that it can’t do its job.

19) In the Multiplayer/Server Browser menu area on the PS3: Upon adjusting the settings with the R3 stick, if you set the settings for Empty (Zero players), you still get a list of servers that are full of players. If you refine it to the East and West coast, you still get a list of servers that are From the East and the West BUT Servers that are also from All over the world. These “Filters” need to be re-defined / reprogrammed in the game to correct this issue to make the user choice show up for what they want to see as for the list of servers.

20) Upgrading the input device: Let’s say I own A PS4 and I decide I want to go an upgrade to a PC. I found out you can NOT transfer your premium account and accomplishments to the PC. This is kind of an outrage to me as for I DO own a PS3 and I played it till I bought the PC. I was told by the licensing system that I could install this game on 2 (YES TWO) systems. Well I know I can NOT use the same username on both systems, but all I wanted to do was transfer all my info from the PS3 to the PC. Not possible. Not by EA terms or support people. If you got the right to install this on two systems, you should be able to install it twice whether one system is a ps3 and the other a PC or whatever. So now I am back to the PS3 system and I can not upgrade it at all. I propose this should be fixed as well.

21) Wanted: the ability of disabling the ocean background animation on main menu screens and on Battlelog screens: Would it be possible for a way to disable this background animation in the menu system? That or just a non-animated pic for the background? I believe this could help a lot on the screens loading issues that this game has when going to the next menu screens.

22) Wanted: Where the “dead zone” is the ability to NOT be able to drive a vehicle, walk or go past it anywhere in the game. This would prevent “base rushing”, solve a lot of discouraged player’s minds about playing this game, and give a lot of players a chance to actually get into the game. Of course, planes and helicopters would be able to have their airspace, but at low altitudes, this rule would apply. Everything would “bounce back” if it/they touched the “wall”. If they stayed in the “2 inch dead zone” the count-down timer would automatically “KIA” them unless they got out of that zone. Think of an actual invisible wall just a couple of inches past the dead zone that could stop players from driving tanks or vehicles into the opposite sides base and would stop any bullets firing into the opposite sides base or areas as well. The wall would prevent this from happening. The “wall” would give the side whose base it is near the ability to pass through it but not the other side. It’s just a thought that I think would seriously help out in this game.

23) Main / Multiplayer Screen Glitch: (07/10/2014) I noticed after being in the multiplayer menu area and then pressing L3 to refresh the favorite servers listed on the screen, the screen goes into a “shake” and gets really twitchy for a second or two when doing this. I just thought I would point out this glitch.

24) New ways to choose the style of map you want to play: Let’s say you want to only play as a sniper and use only your pistol in the match, a pistol only map would be great to find. Only problem is that it doesn’t exist in this game. I’ve played in other game servers using other games (not going to mention them here) where you could only use certain type of weapons in that map and if you tried any other kinds of weapons, you got kicked or were forced to use only those type of weapons. It’s just a thought.

25) Memory loss errors: This is due to the useless features your company has stuffed into this game and the hardcore animations (PS3 edition only I think). I would say just put in what was needed for each class and the game to make this game more fluid like and to make it more functional.(Like it was in BC2 and BF3)

26) Random color glitches in map scenery: I've also seen this happen too many times on every map that was developed for this game. If playing a sniper, run for a bit, then drop down to the ground near any vegetation, rocks, or something on it and watch the color change on the place in front of you. Also can be seen when laying on alot of rocks or tall areas in the maps as well.

  • Weapon Issues:

    • I can’t speak for everyone else, but I can speak for myself. When someone goes through the process of working their butts and minds off trying to win a weapon unlock achievement in the game, and to finally achieve it, the accomplishment should be what it is worth in gold. The bad is that most of the unlocked weapons just purely stink in this game.

    a. SR338 sniper rifle: This rifle can NOT hit anything even if you stand in front of the item itself. It says it gives about 75% damage. The damage it offers doesn’t even come close to actual damage can do - It’s MUCH LOWER than that. The damage is more like a mosquito compared to the SRR rifle. I’ve used it in battles only to find out all it is able to do is to **bleep** off the other players your trying to shoot. It, in my opinion, is another item that once achieved, is a waste of gamers’ time when trying to accomplish this goal. It can be corrected using the actual stats for a 338A-Lapua( auto 338 Lapua sniper rifle system). This would make it a more feasible sniper rifle to use in the game.

    b. M39EMR: In BF3, this was a sniper rifle. I used it A LOT in BF3. In Bf4, it became the worst thing of all.., a DMR. The DMR’s won’t shoot far, upon aiming, they usually shoot off from where they were aimed-(This also goes for the RPK12, RPK74M, F2000, ASVAL, etc). No actual scopes that are worth anything to use for them exist in the game. We need at least Hunter Scope options for these rifles and better damage and shooting distances with them.

    c. I want to know the reason that someone with a pistol can and will use it as a sniper rifle? I’ve been shot with the 44 mag with a 3X scope from almost half way of the maps. The same goes with A LOT of the pistols (MP412Rex, MP443, O226, Compact 45, M1911, etc…). I always thought that a pistol is for when the main weapon failed or it was a Close Quarter Battle and your characters life depended on him doing what was needed to survive in the game.

    d. M16A4 and M4: Burst mode fire? Really?? This is the best that they can do? I know for a fact they offer a Full AUTO fire mode as well. (I own both of these guns in real life.) Yes, they do have a bust fire mode where they fire 3 rounds (NOT the 2-burst like in this game-I don’t know what the heck your company was thinking when they designed this into these guns.).

    e. The 338-Recon: Was this a fake rifle added to the game to give the sniper class more guns? It doesn’t exist in real life as for what I can see. Most of the 338 Lapua Based Sniper Rifle Systems (AKA-338SRS or the 338A-Lapua {Which I own one}) (not all-but most) Recon sniper rifles are auto-fire, they have a 5-10 round clip, come with the railing system for add-ons, and can hit a bull’s-eye at a 1000 plus meters with ease. The bolt action versions can shoot even further with the proper know-how. I propose that the SR338 and the 338-Recon get re-coded into more of what they can do as a real rifle.

    f. Single Player awards and rifle achievements: When I played the single player version of this I managed after a month of trying to accomplish the entire SP weapon unlocks in the game. Come to my surprise, only the weakest weapon unlocks were available in the multiplayer. Since I like playing as a sniper, I was severely anticipating and wanting the M83A3 and the AMR series rifles to be available in the game. I agree.., they can be found in the game by running around here and there and hoping you don’t get killed off before you finally find it, but that is extremely unlikely. I propose to your company to make a variation of these guns that is a little bit weaker but with the auto fire and attachment earnings as could be expected whilst playing and using them. You already have the materials in the game to accomplish this feat and I believe it could be done as well.

    g. AMR rifles. Why is this rifle a bolt action? It should be a true automatic rifle.

    h. AMR and M83A3 rifles again. When using them in the game, why can’t you reload them? If your teammate throws down an ammo box near you, it won’t reload them. I have tested this too many times with no way possible to reload them as of yet.

    i. Sniper scope glare: I mean really?? Why is this in the game?? Why even play as a sniper if someone is going to pinpoint your scope and shoot your player dead. The glare from the scope can be seen completely across every map and makes it very easy to kill the player that is using it. It doesn’t show up on any other class if they are using DMR’s with scopes, so why just snipers? I know a lot of other people have it in for snipers and don’t think they ever do anything to help their team, but your people made it almost too easy to find and kill them in the game. The glare looks like a flashlight from map to map end and like a lighthouse from half map to your player. After awhile, it makes you even think twice about playing as a sniper in the game due to this “glare” **bleep** you have stitched into the game. Ask a true former armed forces sniper and they will tell you about having a true “sun guard designed scope” to prevent “sniper glare” on any ballistic or high power scope that they use. A lot of the ballistic scopes you have posted in the game are actually designed to be “glare resistant” but they are still showing a glare from them. This “glare” feature needs to go. This is also evident if your sniper is inside and hidden in a building and defending an area. Every time he aims through the scope, he is almost 100% likely to be spotted. In my opinion, and on any level, map, and hardness of the game, the glare is a wasted memory resource in the game. These wasted resources could be used to help some other issue in the game.

    j. Unnecessary game extras and crappy designed scopes: Having lasers, ballistic 1x scopes, 2x magnifiers, etc, is a total waste in this game. Especially for a sniper. Give some good 6x to 60x scopes, some with heat vision, x-ray vision, auto-targeting type scopes are what snipers use today. Now if your favorite class is specialists, assault, or medical class.., (or they are used in close to mid range situations) I could understand the wimpy scopes and the extra accessories for their classes only (Like in BC2). I, for one, can not understand the deal with having a L96A1 and only being able to stab on a 1X scope?!?!? Then having to go thorough all kinds of kills to finally get an 8X scope and the variable zoom. I believe all scopes above 8X should automatically come with the variable zoom feature built into them. 20X and higher should come with a 3X power zoom (Like in BC2) – For example: 20x should come with a 6X-then a 14X- then the 20X. The 40X should be designed to be as a true sniper scope. It starts out at 8X- then goes to 20X-then goes to 40X power. This could be put in as an add-on to the scopes depending on their size and power and could give the user more options in the classes.

    k. Night and heat visions scope in a day-time only game: This is another useless feature in the game. Using heat vision scopes in a building is okay IF and only IF it could see through walls. But it seems your company didn’t code that feature into these types of scopes. So, they are a useless waste in my opinion as for resources in this game. These features should be an add-on feature to any scope in the game like you have in adding the lasers and magnifiers. This way they can be turned on and off with a click of the directional buttons.

    l. The USAS 12-Gauge gun. This is another gun that I used before in battlefield games (BC2-BF3) that was very useful in the game. I see it has now been reduced to a hidden gun in the game as well. I agree.., they can be found in the game by running around here and there and hoping you don’t get killed off before you finally find it, but that is extremely unlikely. I propose to your company to make a variation of these guns that is a little bit weaker but with the auto fire and attachment earnings as could be expected whilst playing and using them. You already have the materials in the game to accomplish this feat and I believe it could be done as well. Your company did manage to put the DOA-12 in the game but made it almost impossible to accomplish the feat to collect it as for both accomplishments have to be completed in one game and in one round as well without dying. (I’m good in the game.., but I’m not that good.) Also I see that do to the patches, it was weakened down to where the reload times takes forever on it as well. It should be the same as Saiga rifle because you can actually reload an entire canister of shells at one time.

    m. Speaking of auto fire shotguns, where is the AR-12? It is similar to the AR series rifles that the military uses but the fact that it shoots 12 gauge shells. Also That or the Bullpup designed BPSaiga12 (AKA BPS12)

    n. Suggestion: Shotgun Canister Magazines options: Why are they no canister shell holder (AKA Cans) options for the Saiga or any other auto shotguns? I believe this could be made into a Battlepack item if your company wanted to add it into the game. It would hold a complete clip (30 or more rounds) and could be used without reloading (unless you ran out of shells, which when reloading could take a short while). They could be reloaded with the ammo crate box but at a slower rate. It’s just a thought.

    o. RPG’s, Grenades, C4, Claymores, etc.., at close range. This should annihilate the one your aiming at completely and if your character is close enough, KIA him as well. But as I have seen too many times, it won’t happen that way. It has a 50/50 chance of killing the one being aimed at or any of his teammates nearby, but it only does enough damage to him to bring him down to an “almost dead” health score and still he is able to kill your character. I’ve seen in real life what an RPG can do. They can take out entire buildings, permanently destroy tanks in one shot, destroy a ship in one shot, you get the point. If they can destroy a tank (which they won’t now after the last two patches) they should be able to take out the “bad guy” and whoever is around him (his teammates) in one shot. An RPG, if they can tear a hole through a 6 inch thick piece of plated steel and keep traveling through the air and then explode, I don’t see why this isn’t effective in the actual game.

    p. Where are the missing Personal Mines: Stuff like “bouncing betty’s” or the “spike of death” or the “nail bomb grenades” or the “ball bearing grenades”?? These are used by our military today and have been used for years. Why weren’t they ever designed for the game?? I believe these should be coded into the game so they can be used like the military uses them AND they should not be weakened down to let any live if they are exploded near that character.

    q. DMR Rifles. Why aren’t there any good 20x to 40X scopes, variable zooms, etc.. for these rifles? Or any of the sniper class add-ons that would help these rifles out any? The M39EMR and other DMR’s could become decent rifles with a few tweaks to them in their distance, damage, and other sections.

    r. Sniper rifles: Why can’t we include a straight pull and range finder and bipod at the same time on any of the sniper rifles? Through the options available, it is entirely impossible. It’s either one or the other. I believe each person should be able to customize his or her gun however they wish whether it kills the effect of the gun or enhances it. I propose a new menu system that after you unlock an accessory, you can choose it at will for whatever weapon you want to within your class range.

    s. Naval map missing boats: Where are the battleships with their big cannons that can shoot over so many miles?? Where are the aircraft carriers and the ability to land and take off from them? Where are the guns for the hovercraft boats? Where is the Surface to air missile launchers from the ship? Where are the submarines and the ability to launch missiles (land, sea, and air) from them?

    t. The range of tank type vehicles: I noticed that the tank firing range when firing its main weapon is decreased seriously too much. A common tank can shoot well over 20 miles which equals to 32186.9 meters. I know the game does not have this distance designed in it but the range of the tanks vehicles when they fire their main weapons should. I propose this should be fixed. This is including the main battle tanks, the LAV’s, and any other vehicle that shoots tank like weapons.

    u. Random Glitch on SRR rifles: there is a random glitch on SRR rifles where when it is in aimed mode and you shoot it. The click the fire button, it doesn’t show the animation of it being reloaded or it does a “delay” reload. You can aim it, fire and kill somebody, and then while still aiming at times; it won’t ever break away from being aimed. You will hear the reloading of it but never see the animation. On occasion I did an aimed shot, then went to reload the gun while still being in aimed mode, it totally reloaded the gun and never showed its animation for that either. Also since the last update (07/10/2014) it randomly will never show the reload animation in the game if running and reloading or crouched down or in prone position and have shot a few rounds already. Fix the glitch please.

  • Gadget Issues

    • A lot of the gadgets have issues as well. I will start with some that your company has already nearly destroyed in this game by doing the “patching them to death syndrome”.

    a. AA mines. I can not go on how proud these were brought into the game. But after the last four patches, they are pretty much useless now. When they fire, they only scratch a copter or a plane just enough to **bleep** them off and make them come back and shoot you.

    b. AA Mines still: Why is the amount of ammo fired from them only 2 rockets? They fire two rockets and then explode. Modern ones carry up to 16 rockets and can fire various types of rockets as well depending on the type of aircraft flying around. This should be corrected to be the modern weapon that it is. And the fact that they could be reloaded as well within a certain time limit – either near the AA Mine or from a distance with an ammo box.

    c. AA mines and Rocket Launchers. I’ll admit I was one to use this platform for my engineer guy. I used it to protect my squad/team from helicopter attacks. The AA mines would only scratch the copter but not disable it. Add this with an AA stinger, SRAW or a RPG and you had an effective plane/copter killer. I see this ability was removed in the last 2 patches and I want to know why? It is the same deal in my mind as for having the m2 slams and the AT mines on one engineer to use to destroy many tanks in one area. In the book, The Art of War – “Use everything you have around you to your full advantage to kill the enemy.”

    d. AA mines-again. The ability to relocate them if they are accidentally deployed but not in a usable place. I never figured this out. If you can deploy the AT mines and the M2 Slams and then PICK them up and relocate them, why not the AA mine??

    e. C4, AT Mines, Fragment Grenades, M2 Slams, ETC... The Limitation of amount one can carry into battle. I like the Sniper. I unlocked the deal of being able to carry 6 claymore mines but can only deploy 3. If upon trying to deploy more, one of the ones I already deployed will disappear to oblivion to never be seen again. This goes for even if you have an ammo box nearby to refill them, they still disappear. The same goes for the other perks. The ability to carry more than 1 Grenade. Even though it states in the game you unlocked that perk and that ability, you are still limited to only one (maybe 2 or 3 depending on the grenade itself) grenade. This truly stinks when you’re trying to defend or capture a flag in a building when the building is loaded down with a bunch of campers holding onto the flag. I propose the ability to at least carry 6-grenades (any kind), 6-C4s’, 6-Claymores, 6-M2s’, 6-Frag grenades, etc. And the ability to deploy them whenever you wish and however you wish in the game (without them disappearing after laying out 3 mines or just only to be able to hold one grenade). This is what my army friend carried (Frag Grenades that is) when he went to war in Vietnam and what most military carries today as well.

    f. Where are the laser guided trip mines for guarding door entrances, special areas, etc? Also the “**bleep**-trap” mines? This was a very popular deal in the Vietnam War and in wars since then. I’m still wondering why they are not in this game as it seems most of the current weapons used in this game are from days gone by.

    g. The Mobile Anti-Air Guns that were in BF3. These guns were a blast to use and could take the opponents air defenses quickly if one knew how to use them. Why weren’t these included in BF4? I could see these being used to help the troops to keep the pesky jets and copters at bay to keep them from hurting the troops or when they use the air vehicles to “rush” the base. You could mod the design of the mobile rocket defense truck and put one on the back of it. I guarantee it would be awesome to use it again.

    h. Where is the HVM-II rocket launcher? You people did not want this animal to be found in the game did you? I’ve searched the maps several times trying to find it, but with no luck yet. I did manage to accidentally find it when I was on the “B” tower in Shanghai but I haven’t located it there since. It seems every time a patch goes out, the location gets moved somewhere else. I propose this should be a weapon unlock that could be used for BOTH air and vehicle defense.

    i. The ability to hold a grenade a second or two and then throw it or hold it out and then put it back in the pouch. This was in BF3 why was it removed in BF4?

    j. Actual Military Vehicles: Where is the military version of the Humvee? Where is the mine destroyer vehicle (a modded tank with flailing chains-it can still shoot like a tank but it can destroy at-mines to clear a path for other vehicles.)? BF4 is supposed to be a “modern day war game”. (Your companies quote, not mine.) So why most of the vehicles are from the 60’s through the early 80’s? From my calculations.., this is the 2000 and up years. I ask to update the vehicles and give them modern weapons that are used as of this current time with the actual firing distances in related to the map size and the damage they can do in real life as related to the map size.

    k. Piloting the air vehicles: I thought I was a good pilot in BC2, but this game proved me entirely wrong. I really enjoyed the controls setup in Bad Company 2. They worked like a champ. To pilot a copter in BF4, it takes beyond skills to take off, use it in warfare, and then land it safely to deliver troops. The reversal of the left/right functions and no way to manually change them is quite annoying. Example; Turning the copter while doing a hover flight. The controls are totally backwards. When you push to the right, it should go right NOT to the left. I know the PS3 version could use a major update on its’ controls for the game (especially a way to customize the controls to a way the user wants them to be) and I propose that your company attempt to fix this please. I am implying the type of controls that even a 2 yr old could fly them with.

    l. The EOD Bot: I’ve only seen one use of this gadget. Destroying anti-tank mines. IF and I mean IF either it or you or BOTH doesn’t get destroyed. I propose to make this bot useful in the game. Give it some armament. Let it be able to use a weapon like an auto shotgun, LMG, rocket launcher or something like that to give the user the ability to actually use it in clearing out buildings, destroying “**bleep** traps”, killing claymores, destroying anti-tank mines, defusing bombs, killing the enemies if needed, carry C4 to an unsuspecting enemy, etc.., etc. All-in-all to attempt to make it actually useful in this game.

    m. The M.A.V. robot: Yes, it can shoot one shot which does hardly any damage at all to the enemy. Read the above for the EOD Bot and use the same principles to it and it will finally become a decent gadget to use in the game.

    n. Getting your boat stuck on land by accident: I propose your company add a way to push the boat (AKA - hold a certain button down and then the boat gets knocked back a certain amount) instead of having to stab at it with the knife to get it to move back to the water. When having to do this, it makes your player a viable target when you are only doing your best to get the boat back in the water to help out your team.

    o. The sniper spawn point gadget: I see when playing as an engineer and deploying m2 slams, at15 mines and then get killed, then return to the game as an ammo guy, the slams and mines are still there where they were deployed. When deploying as a sniper, then setting up a spawn point, then get shot, if you change classes, the spawn point explodes and you lose your advantage to your team that you had. When as an engineer, the mines/slams stay until someone runs over them or shoots them and you can still earn points for the damages they cause to vehicles. The same goes for any C4 planted unless you change classes. Then they magically disappear until you change back to the former class that planted the C4. Even then, you can’t explode them using the trigger switch. They can only be exploded if your lucky enough to shoot them correctly, grenade them, rocket launch them or mav shoot them. If you’re a sniper and deploy C4, then die when setting them out, when you come back, you can see them but you can’t trigger them with the detonator switch. I feel that the sniper spawn point and the other classes gadgets should stay until they are destroyed by other players.

    p. What happened to the explosive power of the AT-15 land mines? When I first got this game and played it online, the mines did what they were designed to do – Blow up a tank in one try with only one mine. Now do to all these patches, it takes 2-3 mines to absolutely send a tank or any armored vehicle to the graveyard (if you are lucky enough). Why was the damage rate changed in them? They did like they were supposed too in the real-world and not like a firecracker under a bicycle tire. Please put them back they were.

    I moved all your posts together so they can all be in this one thread instead of 3 different ones. 

    That is the longest post of suggestions i have seen yet (which is good). But DICE devs do not come here to Answer HQ. You would be better to post this on battlelog.

    tried 5 times just a few minutes ago... Battlelog won't let me post over 500 characters to their board and I can not add to any post I put on it till the next day.... which is kinda sad to me......

    all I can do on battlelog is to post a link to here and hope someone reads it...
