For those who still have this problem, Try this. I started having this issue after I upgraded to Windows 10. This is what worked for me. I didn't want to reinstall windows from scratch. I tried reinstalling vc redistributables from battlefield 4 directory and it didn't work at first. I even reinstalled the game, that didn't do anything either for me.
- Go to Control Panel - Programs and Features.
- Check to see if you have multiple Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Uninstall all of them. Just to warn you, some of the programs might not work properly but we'll get to that.
- Go to battlefield 4 folder where redistributables are. I think its Origin\Battlefield4\__Installer\vc
- Install both x86 and x64 with administrator privileges.
- Restart PC
- Open Origin and change the game properties to launch x64 version. Should be able to launch game in 64bit version.
-You'll need to reinstall some of the redistributables back for some programs to work. Battlefield only installs 2012 version. I had some 2008 and 2010 versions along with 2012.
Let me know if this works.
