Although I tried multiple suggestions on the forum:
* repair game
* update game
* reinstall Origin
* reset PROFSAVE
* lower graphics
none of them worked.
Then suddenly, while trying to start up again, the game worked and I was able to play the first campaign story.
Symptomatically, the Multiplayer 0% message went away, and instead there was a variety of content in the non-campaign areas.
I don't think this is an install issue but a server issue.

Trying again this evening, the problematic symptoms returned:
Multiplayer 0% installed
Single player fails to load.

I've been experiencing this issue to, it could be because origin client is saved on a different drive to the bf1, has anyone else got this kind of set up, as this could be causing the issue, going to try to install the client on the same hdd, see if that helps
