Norton Anti-virus finding viruses when downloading update.

WTH, the last two updates that I've done with EA / origin for Battlefield 3 (have all the expansion packs) the first time norton found during the download and safely removed a trojan.dropper, now today 03/04/13 @ 800 PM Norton discovered suspicious.cloud.7.ep when downloading again an update.  Does EA and Origin at least check these things to protect the people who are buying their product?  Both of these files had viruses and were safely removed however; what kind of product and how are these things getting into the files?  Origin is the only program I have trouble with since this is the only online thing I do.
