Origin is refusing to connect to the internet

Hi,

I've been trying for days to get Origin online, I've re-installed it about 12 times, I've even reformatted my PC running windows 8 and still it won't go online.

I can't play any game I want to because it wont go online to validate, I can't play BF3 or anything.

I'm really getting sick of all the problems Origin is causing, Steam doesn't cause me any problems and I can't understand what's happening, I've spent hundreds of pounds with EA via Origin on games and DLC and ingame purchases and still problems keep occurring.

Please let me know what I can do to fix the problem as I can't use anything I've paid for and my game subscriptions for EVE and Secret World are going to waste.

Kind regards

Shayne

bad luck miamiguy331 they already got your money .. im so glad i didnt buy the DLC's faulty game only cost me 40bucks so hurts less altho my dislike of origin will last a lifetime.. im so Bitter!!!! EA why you do this to me??
  • I'm new to origin, and I can say already that it is god awful and the only reason anyone uses it is because of EA games. So much simpler to put their games  on steam while not pissing off all of their players.

  • Something is blocking Origin from accesing Internet.

Disable your Windows Firewall, anti-virus programs.

-Also disable the UpNp and SSDP in Services (type in search Services) and on your router.

  • Lol miamiguy331,

Are you looking for trouble, windows 8 combined with origin 😛.

Windows 8 is like the next gen f****d up windiws edition, stick to windows 7 atm. If you do so, it is also less to occure that you have problems with other programs and not only origin.

I understand why people are constantly shouting to EA to go with steam, becaus it is perfect and all. Just understand that Origin is still work in progress.

How do you think it was in the days that Counterstrike Source came out?? Steam was the only way at that time like it is with BF3 and Origin today and Steam constantly had problems back in that time.

Debugging takes time, even in production state bugs come out.

Some are instantly solved, some take .. well to long.

From an equally frustraded Origin user that also cant go to Online mode atm 😉.
