[PC]-BF1-fps drops from 62 to 15 or lower HP Omen laptop

I have an HP omen laptop with a Nvidia GTX 960 and an i7 processor, i am experiencing extreme drops in framerate in multiplayer only, on even low settings I can get a framerate as low as 7 fps, but only in multiplayer. In single player i can reach up to mid-80 fps on high graphical settings. I have absolutely no idea what is causing this, i have tried capping framerate, uninstalling other software that might be using memory (GeForce experience is no longer installed), setting pre-rendered frames, installing new drivers, everything i can think of. This is the only game that does this, and I know this laptop is capable of running this game decently, i just don't know what to do

    I see that you're on Win10, are you using Direct X 11 or DX 12 to run BF1?If you're running DX12 revert to DX11 in the options and run BF1 again. One thing that worked for me was setting an FPS limit of 61 FPS which for some reason evened out performance and got rid of the drops in FPS for me on my GTX1060 6 GB, 16 GB RAM, i7-3770 rig. You might want to give that a try.

    Just a note that you're running 8GB of RAM which is the minimum amount required for BF1. General Performance will increase when you upgrade to 16GB.
