Re: Is there aim assist on PC?

There is no aim assist on PC, it would mess up the competitive nature of our multiplayer mode but is needed on consoles.

I think it gives console gamers an advantage over pc gamers who really have to aim.

Not at all. Mouse and keyboard is a major advantage if you get used to it.

I'm very used to my mouse and keyboard, reason why I don't buy a console. I have been gaming with mouse and keyboard since Castle Wolfstein.  Played Doom deathmatch on a 28,800 modem, Quake, Unreal... and so on...  Yet I have seen videos where guys with consoles hit target after target without hardly missing a shot.  Something really impossible on PC.  The moment they aim down the sight, even if they were relatively off target, the dot is already over the target after zooming... There is almost no aiming at all. You just point approximately, zoom in and score shots. I know what you will say next... but the fact of the matter is that gameplay is uneaven and unfair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPOzbJxkEpI

    Just watch the video.

HARDCORE SERVERS SHOULD NOT ALLOW AIMING ASSIST, on any platform.... That's my opinion.

    Thank you,

    G

    Agreed!

I've been gaming on PC for decades now, BF4 for a couple months, and I keep getting mowed down by amature console players who probably couldn't hit the broadside of a barn without the aggressive aim assist on the consoles.  Youtube has videos which shows console players aiming feet away from a target and still killing them... that ain't right when I have to aim dead center on PC and fight to track the enemy as they flee my barrage.

Granted, I think the real proof in the pudding should come from comparing average PC players vs average console players and see how they perform.  I'm rather confident console players have an unfair advantage that needs to be remedied.
