@Popa2caps It is indeed great news and of course it is because it's for the best for the Star Wars fans in general. Now, we will have a chance in the future( I hope so with all my heart) to have a great Battlefront game made by a serious company who actually cares about the fans in general and will deliver the best the future company can do to the fans with new content from the Skywalker Saga, the TV shows and the Old Republic and so on...
It’ll never happen imo, a great battlefront game again that is. Personally loved bf15, 2 kinda sucked imo unless you like spam and sabers. Reason I say this is battlefront lost any identity it had. It attempts to be all games in one. A rpg for the offline guys, a bots game for the guys that want a unbalanced zombies game in a mo shooter, a hero saber melee game for the hero saber guys, a starfighter game for the flying group,, a coop game, a Ewok game for the toddlers, and last they add in a shooter somewhat infantry game mixed in. To much going on and no identity.
Imo battlefront should be a shooter first with the rest added in, basically battlefield in a Starwars setting like the orgionals. Battlefront today seems like a set up for failure no matter what you do, just to many fans of different backgrounds that want to many different things imo.. Its also possibly the most toxic fan base of all fan bases imo so that doesn’t help.
As to ea’s decision about licensing, don’t they have the same issue with the other SW projects in the works, fallen order, Squadrons’s, and so on. Sounds like a lame excuse, I also thought ea renewed the license, otherwise how do they have future games upcoming on the rpg side.
