For everybody who saw the trailer:How was it? I saw it too but how was your reaction? Did you like it or not? What is your opinion about the game?

Maybe I'm getting old but the trailer did nothing for me. Just a bunch of incoherent and seemingly unconnected gunfights. I saw some neat features here and there but the first thing I said after watching the trailer was "I don't know what they're trying to do."I'm waiting to see gameplay to make any meaningful judgement but at the moment it was a bit... eh.Also, natural disaster looks like the opposite of fun gameplay.EDIT: It looks like GI Joe: the movie: the video game.

Really, really enjoyed it. Good amount of action, some humour and great nods to Only In Battlefield moments. Can't wait for the gameplay reveal 🙂

@Trokey66 Definitely a lot of nostalgic nods for long time veterans in that video, feels like DICE is finally ending thier experiments and ditching the new formula to go back to the classic formula. It worked for the Cola companies...

the trailer didn't do anything for me. I felt nothing. lol. but the canned footage from viewpoints you never experience while playing the game rarely if ever does it for me.However i don't form much of an opinion of the game based on the canned trailers either. The followup youtube videos were more interesting for me. Lots of info. And that all looks promising.the trailer itself was kind of cringe. I like only in BF moments. But pandering to that and making that the focus was cheesy. And i fear it will only encourage players to focus too much of that stuff instead of it occurring more naturally while playing the game.the music in the trailer was odd at times. And the trailer didn't give me a good sense of the gameplay and scope of the maps. It was a bit of a caricature of a BF trailer. I'm looking forward to the gameplay trailer on the ~13th.

I was a huge fan boy until BF3 came out and it was completely dumbed down to accommodate incoming gamers from that other modern shooter franchise. I stuck with BF:BC2 because the servers stayed full even after BF3 dropped. I love BF4, even though it took the required 37 patches to get it to where it is now. 1 and V were both huge disappointments, and those two cradles of filth are why I don't preorder games anymore.

@Player55 nothing disappointing at all but no doubt the nay sayers will find something to whinge about.

I may have a warm fuzzy feeling about this one......

Impressive. Cant wait. I truly hope the maps are good. The maps are everything. Less trash like hanada, panzerstorm, twisted steel, narvik, fjell, wake island, etc... more design like BF3/4 classics.

Got warm and fuzzies watching it. This is what I wanted instead of 1 and V. The missed opportunity was not having C4 on the quad when he smoked the little bird. Already signed up for everything I can to help expedite a successful release of this game. See you on the battlefield.

I liked the ripping off of the dogtag. I hope they have that as an ability in the game.
And the chaos of the Tornado seemed cool to me.
The wingsuit ability has a lot of potential.

So old gen will be limited to 64 players while new gen and pc will be 128 players. In other words no old gen and new gen on same server. Considering new gen shortages, I dont know how new gen servers will remain full. This kind of forces ps5/xboxSX/pc cross play. I'm ok with that as long as I have the option to use native mouse input on ps5.

I love how they added ''Only in Battlefield'' moments to that trailer. Gives me hope that I might like this!
Seeing that BF2042 has some helicopters to destroy just makes me smile. That's my favorite thing to do in BF. Give me rockets and I'm gonna have a good time dealing with those. 😃
Can't wait for the gameplay reveal.
