Same error with only 10 min of game play in battlefield 3

Direct X function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: Device hung due to badly formed commands.. GPU "Nvidia GeForce GTX 570", Driver: 314.07

I have an nVidia GTX 570

with the latest drivers

I have updated all aspects of my computer and I have also updated all of the software suggested in the forums ex. Direct X 11

is there a solution to this error?

  • I've heard of these kind of errors before, as far as I know they have been solved very differently:

    • Reinstalling DX11 from the installationfile inside the Battlefield 3 game folder can help
    • Downgrading your graphics driver to 296.10 or something else
    • Downclocking your GPU (like 30mhz) if it's not overclocked
    • Increasing the voltage of the GPU (especially if it's overclocked)
    • Formatting the computer (apparently DirectX can become so corrupt that it can't be fixed)
    • It may be a broken gfx card / powersupply
    • Update/reflash the Bios on the GPU

    Hope that helps a bit.

Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you.
