Should I buy Battlefield 4 (BF4) for PC in 2018 Q4?
Hello all!
I am from BF2 which is already officially closed down long ago. Now I am planning to buy BF4 for PC just to play online multiplayer mode. But the game is already five years old. So I am afraid of the number of active players still playing BF4 multiplayer. Also, I am afraid that servers might be shut down anytime soon. Can you please suggest me to buy it or not? What is the current situation in BF4 for PC? Hope that I will get responses from experienced BF4 players here. Another thing is important. If I should buy BF4, then which edition should I buy -- Standard or Premium?

Bf4 is still very well populated as Battlefield 3 is, so i wouldn't worry about that. Servers also are unlikely to be shut down in the near future as BFBC (a much less populated game) servers are still on the go after almost 10 years.
The only problem you may encounter is to play minor game modes (as CTF, or Squad deathmatch) as the majority of the servers run Conquest.
With all considered BF 4 remains an absolute masterpiece, and still fully enjoyable.
I suggest you to pick the premium edition as you can experience the full multyplayer experience.
