Great, worked for me as well.
I had a more severe issue in which most of my UI text wasn't appearing at all. Button functionality was there, but some elements were missing and it was difficult to tell what button did what.
After reinstalling drivers, reinstalling Origin, and reinstalling the game twice, this tip finally fixed the issue for me. I can't thank you enough.
For reference, here is what I was looking at:

Yes, unfortunately the fix solves the issue temporarily, but there are no other ways to fix it. Btw you can still use battlelog: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/
You don't need to download anything, the game will re-create those folders automatically. But please be sure you delete the folders from Documents folder>>Battlefield 4 folder and Battlefield 1 folder if you have Battlefield 1.
