Use Joy2Key for Battlefield

I’m disabled and have to use a mouse with my left hand and a joystick for movement (wasd) with my right but it requires a program like Joy2Key to rebind the buttons but ea play won’t allow it to be running. Is there a way around this?

  • Hi @Javamonsterlife Sorry to hear this. I can certainly see how the EA anti-cheat stopping this kind of program will make the game next to impossible for you to play.

I'm unfortunately not a PC player so my knowledge of this topic is quite limited, but to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a way around not being able to use things like Joy2Key or reWASD since they're not officially supported under the anti-cheat. However, it may be worth exploring if the system I understand Steam has will work for you, as that might be an option.

There's also an Accessibilty forum here which has a few posts with a similar question, so it may be worth adding a comment to the most recent one there as well:

Thanks for the suggestion and I have seen people say they use steam to register the joystick as a controller so I’ll have to try it out. I got ea play with Xbox game pass but steam might be the only way.

@Javamonsterlife I really hope that does work and is a simple fix for you. Please do let me know if it doesn't, though, as I'm more than happy to see if I can find another option for you.

Steam doesn’t detect the Logitech 3D Pro and it looks like a commonly discussed problem. Someone said there was a fix by going into the files and editing stuff but it looks like a pain and I think I’ll be ok just not playing but thanks for talking about it with me.

@Javamonsterlife Sorry for the late reply. That's a real shame and I don't really like the thought of you not being able to enjoy Battlefield.

While you have said that you're OK not playing, I've still reached out to the Community Managers in the hopes that they can suggest something that will help. You never know.

@ElliotLH Thanks so much! I ordered a Azeron one handed mouse so I’ll see how it is and might not need the setup I’m currently using. I think with it I just use their program so I wouldn’t need Joy2Key or anything but I will update you when I try it.

@Javamonsterlife Awesome 🙂 I honestly hope that works for you. Also, if I hear anything back from the CMs now that I've asked the question, I'll pass the info on to you.
