Why downloading Aftermath Update twice?

think this happined me before with one of the last patch's too, wat a stupid program

Same problem here, this makes me realy MAD !!! 

The same happened to me too... i installed bf3 on my SSD with only 8gb left free.

Then when the download is done and i have around 4 gb left Origin "stopped working" and the whole process got closed...

Now i have to install it again?

and use my last 4gb? which i was saving up for the last expansion map...

Is there a  way to delete the old files? or it will be replaced with the second download and i will still have 4 gb?

You have previously downloaded a 3.9 GB update, not the expansion pack. What you're downloading now is the DLC itself.

Whoaww... 8gb total thats alot of updating...

If thats the case why is there no patch notes? and it seem odd that both update and expansion just happen to be the same size.

Yeah I also have had this issue with EndGame as well as previous content.   If the developers were kind enough to incorporate some type of notification to explain what these downloads are instead of just simply "update" ,  but that would make too much sense now would it.   

I think the quality of game development needs to step it up a notch,  it's simple things like this that just frustrates customers to the point where some may go elsewhere.  

I just just finished supposedly updating the game .... decided to try out the new EndGame content.   I logged into a low ping server and within a few minutes I was kicked for some Punkbuster version error or something.   So then I decided to check for updates again... and sure enough another 5.5GB of updates that seemed to have been forgotten last time around.  

If what I was downloading before was not the DLC,  then how was I able to log into a DLC game.   

Face it,  EA's deployment definitely needs some work.   And making poor excuses isn't going to solve it.

Same thing happened for me with End Game. The difference was that I updated BOTH the BF3 Limited Edition update AND the End Game update. After both were installed (after almost 30 hours since my internet is horrible) I launched the game only to find out I had to update BF3 AGAIN with a 5.5 GB update. Looks like I wont be playing for a while.
