The WWII Normandy Beach Landings

Am I alone in feeling that adding the beach Normandy beach landings to Battlefront V could have been amazing?

I think making them into an Operations map could have been been spectacular.

What features are you hoping the next Battlefield entry will have?

• More destructibility
• More and cooler cosmetics

Personally, I’m hoping for more destructible environments more than anything else.

One thing’s for certain: The Devil’s Guard will be supporting it when it comes out.

Supposed Reveal Date for Next Battlefield

So, industry insider Roberto Serrano tweeted on April 27th that the reveal for the next Battlefield will happen at 1:00 pm PT on May 7 in the form of a trailer.

Another insider named Tom Henderson claims to have seen the trailer, the graphics “look like a movie” and that it did a rest great job of displaying “the setting, the soldiers, the good graphics, the feature of the game, vehicles, guns, etc.”

What Squad Size Do You Want in The Next Battlefield?

Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 both had squad sizes of six.

Bad company, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 all had four.

Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 1 upped the number to five.

And Battlefield V brought the count back down to four, of course.

We at The Devil’s Guard are split. Some want four, and some want five.

Being that we play together as a platoon, I feel that the larger the squad size, the more fun we can have together.

What Makes for a Great Devil’s Guardsman?

So who are the best in the Devil’s Guard?

Obviously the members who can dominate the battlefield with amazing kill-death ratios, right?

Wrong.

The friendly, easygoing members are the best by a long shot. If they’re also Battlefield beasts, well, that’s definitely not a bad thing 😉.

We all know that player who’s really good, has great KD ratio and all that, but is kinda a pain in the arse. Vain. Conceited. Rude. Sometimes even just plain toxic.

Personally, I’d rather play with some friends and have a blast while doing well gameplay-wise than destroy the competition while playing with some, let’s say, “less friendly and fun people.”

If you’re looking for a platoon to have a lot of fun with (and get lots of wins), give The Devil’s Guard a try.

As a result, we’ve decided to expand the games we’re supporting to include (in addition to Battlefield V): Titanfall 2, COD: Warzone, COD: Cold War, World of Tanks, & Enlisted.

The Benefits of Belonging to a Gaming Clan

I feel that most gamers either don’t have the desire, energy, or interest in being highly-competitive gamers.

Most, I believe, value having fun while being relatively competitive above all else. They want to have fun while still pushing for the W.

Some gamers are shy or for some other reason aren’t comfortable — or simply don’t desire — to play with others socially. Having to meet new people and engage with them may actually cause them to have anxiety.

But for others, belonging to a gaming group provides an opportunity to develop new relationships, have more fun then they would otherwise, and do even better gaming because of the benefits of teamwork.

Sometimes when I approach someone about joining The Devil’s Guard, I get a sarcastic response back. Something like “A hard no from me, nerd” or even something as simple as a lone curse word. I find it sad, but I understand that some people, for a variety of reasons, have to put others down in order to feel good about themselves.

All I’m trying to do is build a community of friends with a common interest in which all members would benefit.

Mom's Wrong: Video Games Can Be Good for You

A lot of people tell us that video games do more harm than good. I believe that for our well-being, generally, all things should be done should in moderation. That being said, I feel as though, if played in moderation, gaming can do more good than harm.

In the modern age, we all have a good amount of stress being heaped on our shoulders. School, work, friendships, housework, societal expectations, etc. — we all have obligations that often cause us to be stressed.

By temporarily diverting our attention from our troubles, video games can provide stress relief.

We all have times when it just seems like we're searching for something to do. Perhaps we've recently engaged in some of our favorite hobbies and need a change. Video games are straight-up entertaining.

Depending on what types of games you play, I would argue that games can actually stimulate your brain. Many involve elements of problem-solving. They can make you consider approaching situations/challenges from different angles.

Life can grind a person down. We all suffer setbacks sometimes. Video have can provide a sense of accomplishment. Is it accomplishment that has significant, practical real-life ramifications? Probably usually not. But they can pick you up when you're down sometimes.

Some people have difficulty making friends. Some have conditions that actually make it damn near impossible for them to make one-on-one physical connections with others. Making connections through games can often provide enough of a buffer for some people like this to feel comfortable enough to make friends.

In conclusion, if used in moderation, video games can provide multiple significant benefits. Gamers can be proud to be gamers.
