Accidental BFV In-Game Purchase with Coins

I don't know if I can be helped with this. I accidentally made an in-game purchase in BFV using the in-game coins. I was browsing the armory and I went to click the next tab and suddenly I was the proud unintentional owner of a shiny new character outfit that cost me nearly all of my in-game currency. It took me a long time to earn those coins and I would have rather had the choice of what to spend them on, such as the weapon specialization trees that also cost in-game coins. I don't know if there is any way to reverse these in-game purchases maybe within a certain time of making them. Can an accidental purchase like this be reversed?

  • Hey @grimmroth

As this is an account specific question I recommend opening a case with EA and seeing if they have the ability to reverse it.

Go to help.ea.com and from there you can open a case.

  • Hey @grimmroth, sorry to hear about what happen. What skin/set did you buy and when did you buy it?

  • I accidentally bought the Allied Writer set and I did it last night at around 8:00-9:00 PM EST. I edited this responds because I went back and looked at the email that was sent to me by EA support after the chat session I had with an EA Rep.

EDIT:  I went back and looked at the chat log and I see it happened right around 8:38pm, give or take 5 minutes or so. I logged out right afterwards and opened a sup[port ticket with EA. Ticket#45172278

    Thanks for the information!

Unfortunately, we won't be able to refund the purchase of the items or the coins, sorry.

For how this flow is working with buying items, I have raised it with the team.

  • This is very disappointing as it took me a LONG time to earn the coins I had. Now I will not be able to unlock the weapon and vehicle specializations and I will ALWAYS be at a disadvantage in game. So now I have to decide if I want to continue playing this game at all. I haven't even started using any of the vehicles and now there's no point as I will not be able to afford the specialization upgrades all because the purchase button is right above the Cancel button in the UI.

Count me as a very disappointed customer at this point.

EDIT:  I would honestly have no issue with the "inability' to refund coins if they were only used for purchasing cosmetic items. Unfortunately they are also tied to in-game performance upgrades in the specializations of each weapon and vehicle. Coins are NOT easy to earn and the fact that a simple clicking error can completely wipe out a player's balance of these is a serious issue.
