AMA - Banned from reddit for defending EA/DICE emoloyees.

I'm waiting out a 5 day ban here.  Some trash human has made multiple posts calling for DICE employees to be fired because the Mastery V and VI assignments on several weapons are too hard for them. I got into it with them on one post, and while it definitely wasn't PG,  i wasn't saying anything nearly as "toxic" as them. Yet (probably because they got their friends to report me) I've been banned for "toxicity".

Heres the thread in question. Theres other little squabbles in there but ffs, im the one getting punished

I'm NUIT93 btw.

Tbh that forum had gotten unbearable. Things are way more productive and positive here, most likely because of its intended use as a support liaison. I appreciate y'all!

  • There are definitely problems with the game that will probably never be fixed but there is honestly no point getting into a war and calling for people to be fired over it; at the end of the day it's still just a game and the dev team consists of real human beings capable of making real human mistakes (like everyone reading this btw).

Reddit is known for its near meme-like toxic nature so I'd take the ban on the chin with a grain of salt, mate. Like with all the data mining, some people are just ill-informed and there is not too much you can do about it when they don't want to listen. That said, there are ways of being less antagonistic to ease the conversation to a dull roar; I know all to well since there have been plenty of times I try to correct something only to make it worse.

@TTZ_Dipsy haha yeeeahhh. Its funny because I'm usually pretty lighthearted on there, and able to de-escalate little flare ups. Telling people that they don't deserve their job is a leap over the line for me, and my instincts took over. I think i did a pretty good job even.

  • @NUIT93I'm by no means a fan of some of the final proficiency and mastery assignments (especially the MAB one they reference, which I don't think I'll ever complete at this point) but calling for people to be fired over them and levelling insults, as in your example, is taking things too far and not productive.
