I have no idea what happened, but today I tried again and loaded the game and it works! I don't think it was me that fixed it. When I launched the EA app it asked me to install the update, I did. I then selected English when installing the game and moved the game app while it was on the Javelin splash screen to a different monitor (from an ultra-wide monitor to a normal monitor) using the Win+Shift+Arrow combination, and while it seemed stuck as it was, right before it crashed, I tried pressing Alt+Enter.
Again I don't think I'm the one who fixed the problem, I hope it helps
