Battlefield v keeps crashing showing error code on Playstation 4 and 5

Right after I sign into EA on battlefield v  it crashes and shows error code on Playstation, I bought the game digital, I tried on a new Playstation 5 and same thing, then I bought the disk version same thing. I tried a new PSN two times and even re bought the game. Battlefield or EA fix your game please.

  • "An error has occurred on the playstation application (CE-34878-0)" this is the error on Playstation 4, on Playstation 5 it says "something went wrong with this game or app. CE-10*****I will have to get the rest of the error code from the playstation 5. All of this while trying to play battlefield V. It does this after starting the game online signing into EA games. I tried 3 different profiles, I bought the game digital as well as the disk version and nothing ever works. My friend bought the game and he is having the same problem.

@GREENM4A3 Thanks for the error code. I'm not a Playstation user, but I found some suggestions for potentially resolving this from Sony on their support site:

    - Close the application, install the latest System Software and game updates and restart the system.
    - If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive ('HDD') in your system, please re-install the original HDD.
    - If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to Settings > Initialization and choose Initialize PS4.
    - If the error occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support.

    Copied from this guide.

If none of those work, then it'd potentially be worth reaching out to Playstation support directly.

  • I appreciate the advice, but I tried all those things. Other games work this is only happening on battlefield V.

@GREENM4A3 You'll probably need to contact Sony support in that case I'm afraid.

The only other thing I can think to suggest which you could try yourself would be to delete the game from internal storage and installing it on an external drive. This should confirm if the problem is related to corruption somewhere.
  • Unfortunately I have tries that as well I put it on a solid state external drive and same thing happened. Do you know what the best way to get support from Sony would be?

@GREENM4A3 That is unfortunate, but at least it implies it's not a hardware issue. I had a quick look on Sony's support site and you should be able to reach them through the options on this link:

    https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/contact-us/

It probably wouldn't hurt to raise it with EA Help as well or if Sony can't assist. If you wanted to do that then you should see email or live chat options when you select the support options at help.ea.com.
