Dear EA_Atic,
my friend "M4xy1337" has the exact same issue described here by "9993953".
His Main Menu works fine, he even got the new ingame "Loot".
The server browser works fine.
But when he tries to join it says: "GAME DISCONNECTED: Connection to EA Online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game" then the menu freezes.
Same goes for every other Battlefield. When he restarts the game and tries to join it very rarely works (1 in 20 tries maybe) and he can play like nothing is wrong, even the next round loads normally.
But joining works every time when he uses a VPN program.
We checked firewall settings (Windows Defender).
He also never has any connection problem with any other game whatsoever.
His father doesnt have this issue on his PC while being in the same house-network. Which is weird, because this would mean its a PC problem and not a ISP problem.
Sadly i am no expert and i cant help him.
Maybe you or someone else has some other clue?

If you are on wifi it could be getting poor connection at times, try ethernet, if you are on a home wifi, make sure it is on private network,not public
Otherwise if you can't try ethernet, try checking your wifi's nat type
if it is nat type, a vpn forgo's nat rules,bypassing it usually, which would than solve a too strict nat type(think of as a routers built in firewall)
