Crash

Product: Battlefield V

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) It happened the past few days. Most recent is 09/24/19
Summarize your bug The game freezes up while playing with no sound for a few moments. Then the sound comes back for a split second before the game crashes. Happens randomly. Some matches it won't some it will. Also it happens in any game mode not just one.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I suppose just playing the game. I'm never doing anything in particular when it crashes. Sometimes I'm aiming sometimes I'm just sprinting.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game freezes without sound. Then sound comes back and it crashes only takes a few seconds.
What should be happening instead? The game should be running

    @Altar187 

    I see some Windows scan for updates errors. You're on an older build of Windows 10, can you update to the latest build to see if that fixes this for you?

    Search "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar to check for pending updates.

    Another player was recently having crashes and was able to fix it from steps in this post.

    Just tried it and it just crashed again. No errors just freezing without sound and then a moment later sound comes back on and it closes out

    seems like a memory issue: did you notice other crashes in other games too? try a run of memtest86+ (https://www.memtest86.com/) or hiren's boot cd mem testing tools. if you notice other behaviours that seem weird just clean the ram pinout with isoprophilic alchool and blowing air on motherboard slots with air
    Also:
    what are your GPU temperatures? is your pc a laptop or a desktop? i'd check for cpu/gpu going bonkers with abnormal temperatures which you can "fix" with a fan directly on the open case or above your laptop and see if this solves the issue.

    @OttoVP  I can try it but I've not had crashing in any other games besides ones that are modded. Playing on a desktop and I don't think it is a temp issue. Sometimes I can play the game for hours sometimes it happens in the first match. I've also been playing the game since beta and never experienced crashes like this. But I'll give it all a try and let you know. I appreciate the help

    @Altar187that randomness veers my opinion to a mem module problem. did you try a run of memtest86+? https://www.memtest86.com/
    have hwmonitor running all time and check your temps tho (and report here your temps)
    i've got random crashes when my southbridge cooling heatsink was installed by asus w/out proper thermal paste on all the surface and drove me mad since i figured out...FYI those crashes happened only under heavy load like bf4 and 5

    @OttoVP  The memtest requires a USB drive. I currently don't have one and will have to test it at a later date. I use to have a temp issue and I found it was because the thermal paste wasn't completely covering and I had to redo it. Never had an issue since then with it though. I will get to testing those but until then if you have any other ideas as to why it could be happening I can probably get to checking those sooner.
