Hello, I live in Belgium and my Ping to german Battlefield servers used to be 33 ms for the last year, which I was very happy with. My ping to is now 166 ms to german battlefield servers for a few weeks, which is unplayable. Also using gameserverping.com the same is true for other games: e.g. Fortnite frankfurt server: 153 ms, Counterstrike Luxemburg server 171 ms. I even have beter ping to US east servers now (around 93 ms) (see attachment). The problem seems to be my internet. If I run the gameserverping.com test from another laptop or my phone both using wifi, the ping results are the same (160 ms). If run gameserverping.com using my phone on 4G than the results are good for frankfurt servers around 40-50ms. A speedtest with my local internet provider in Brussels is very good: 9 ms, 91 Mbps. I have also checked my modem, my router, my cable, my ethernet adapter driver, everything seems to be OK. I have also called my ISP but they couldn't do anything. I can't wrap my head around this. How can I have better ping to US servers than the local frankfurt servers? Anybody any ideas how I can fix this? Thank you! [Edit: All caps removed from title - ElliotLH]

Try running a traceroute from your laptop.- Download PingPlotterhttps://www.pingplotter.com/download- Open Battlefield game and connect to a server- Open Resource Monitor - press windows key then type resource monitor- Go to Networking tab in resource monitor- Sort by 'Send B/sec'- Look for 'Compute.AmazonAWS.com address'- Press ctrl+c to copy address from resource monitor- Press ctrl+p to paste address into notepad- Copy IP address from notepad to PingPlotter- Run traceroute to Battlefield server IP with PingPlotter- Right click on top column bar in PingPlotter to enable more log options like packet loss %Once you have a traceroute with PingPlotter, make a screenshot of it and send a copy to your Internet Service Provider and complain about their high ping route to the Battlefield servers hosted on Amazon AWS.

Hey @Eristus ,I had found a similar thread on Reddit with an interesting reply:"Your tracert looks exactly the same as mine. It's a bit inconclusive since only 4 hops actually respond, though the amount of hops is suspicious.Just got off the phone with Scarlet. After doing the usual spiel with rebooting and factory resetting my modem (RIP my settings) the service desk rep discovered there is a known issue with connections to AWS and they're working on solving it.He claimed the problem should eventually disappear once they figured out what was causing it."So apparently this wasn't done on purpose.To my surprise, the issue is fixed for me since yesterday.I'm back to 24 ping to German servers.Cheers,

The ISP changed my modem and now I got 19ms ping (before 160 ms). So it was not the routing, but changing the modem seemed to fix the issue.Thanks for the help!

Hi @Eristus and @atsoubi ,One of my lines is with Belgacom and right now I have a 19ms ping when testing to your listed Amazon server...So your issue appear to be connected with Scarlet and how they route your traffic.

Wow!Unbelievable that we had this problem for over 2 months. I called scarlet support 4 times and they blamed it on my modem or my router (because scarlet doesn't support routers...). I even had an argument with a guy from support as he said the problem was due to "busy game servers", I said I strongly disagreed as I could connect to the AWS server without any issue from other proximus or telenet modems. He still didn't believe me.All the support guys followed the same protocol, check the line, do a speedtest (to brussel), reboot the modem, reset the modem, and concluded everything was fine. So frustrating that they couldn't acknowlegde the problem and look for a solution. Instead they kept saying they couldn't do anything as everything was fine.I was ready to change ISP after my holiday in july. But I'm glad we kept pushing them and someone with a brain finally found a solution within scarlet. Thanks for the help @atsoubi and @OskooI_007. Unbelievable that we had this problem for over 2 months. I called scarlet support 4 times and they blamed it on my modem or my router (because scarlet doesn't support routers...). @Eristushmm that's weird...I just logged in and I still get 24ms on German servers.
Is the issue still continuing for you?perhaps it was fixed in the meantime again?

@atsoubi Now it is indeed back to 24ms ping. Weird, they must be working on it. Hope it is a permanent solution now.

@hell0men Some home routers allow you to log into them and see which IP addresses the console is connecting to.
