Same here on xb1 i tried everything... :-(
Seems this issue occurred or still occurs since 2019: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-V/Can-t-equip-dogtags-PS4/td-p/7749329 . Never heard about it before.
Well it seems this is happening on pc as well. I have uploaded a short video for the pc version
So on all platforms not able to equip new dogtags.
PS4 and PS5 are giving me the same problems; with this many people affected, hopefully it gets fixed soon

Just thought all info might help. On xbox1 you can select it but but if you try to equip nothing happens,i see you even not able to select it... :-/
As I was informed EA is aware of this issue.
Not even deleting and reinstalling the game helped me so I agree. Hopefully this gets fixed, I’m sick of using the same recon commander dog tag since 2018
hey guys i cant equip any dog tags on battlefield 5 with a ps5 as my platform and im not sure why because i select it and press square on any of the dog tags and it wont change from the default tag
