In-game chat currently not working – possible connection to chat/filter system?

PC, EA App. I don’t remember the exact date, probably the 2nd or 3rd of February. My in game name was Madam_Duckling. I then changed it to HerMajestyDuck. After that I was briefly able to write in chat again, but once I restarted EA and Battlefield, it stopped working. I have currently changed my name to TheMadamDuck. The issue is happening all the time. Thank you for taking care of it.

This is affecting me as well. Playing on PC through EA App. IGN is the same as here. First noticed it 2 days ago and as of now it has been in effect every single match throughout these 3 days.

• First noticed: last week on the 7th, my previous session was on the 5th and at the time chat appeared to work as normal
• In-game name: same as here, and I haven't changed it since launch
• Frequency: this has been happening every single round of every single session so far

I think it's important to highlight how extremely quiet the servers have become. Usually there are people typing something in chat every game, with at least half a dozen players typing "gg" at the end of every match. It's hard to go 10 minutes without anybody sending a message. And yet, across the ~20 rounds I've played since last weekend I've only seen TWO people type in chat. 2 people out of 1000+ unique players I've been on a server with. You do the math.

Might be related But on xbox Platoon tags Randomly don't show anymore when they should be. I have made a detailed post about this already.
