PS4 Controller not working on PC since anti-cheat update

Hey! I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting my PS4 controller to work on PC BF5 for flying planes since DS4 is now banned on the new-ish anti cheat.  I've tested the controller on other games and on gamepadtester.com so it is definitely working.

I own the game on EA App so I can't use steam's big picture mode which is what other people have previously recommended. I've tried to add both bf5 and EA app as non-steam games but that doesn't work either.

I'm on latest version of Win10, but my friend on Win11 tried as well and it didn't work for him either.

Any help is massively appreciated.
