Re: BFV Crashing without any error message

Hi there I have spent a week back and forth with EA support, have gone through every standard trouble shooting procedure from reinstalling origin, the game, display drivers, even Windows 10 and I still get the same error.  I have tried to reinstall, repair, clear cache, etc

this is the error I get in my log every time I try to start the game:

Error

Could not find the getTableData request function in the loaded library

I had the same issue with the beta

@geylangwarrior Merkwürdig, dass du trotz aller Neuinstallationen noch eine alte Windows Version hast. Update bitte auf die neuste Version https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10.

Danach Origin nochmal neuinstallieren bzw. updaten. Viel Erfolg!

Strange that despite all new installations, you still have an old Windows version. Update please to the newest version https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Then reinstall or update Origin again. I wish you success!

  • Hey there I just updated, I would have felt very silly if that was the case, unfortunately, it did not fix it for me!

OK, it might be that you already preformed some of the steps I suggest, please execute them anyway and in this order.

    • Make sure Origin is completely closed.
    • Go to your ">drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield V" folder and delete the "bfvTrial.exe", the "bfv.exe" and the "Core" folder
    • Run Origin as an Administrator. (Right click the Origin desktop shortcut > Run As an Administrator)
    • Go to your Game library > BFV Cover > Install.
    • Test.

    If that don't works:

    Clear your Windows temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"   (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    Then:

    Clear your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

    • Close Origin completely.
(right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
    • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
(The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
    • Delete the "Battlefield V" folder inside the "LocalContent" folder.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
    • Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
    • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
    • In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
    • Open the "Local" folder.
    • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
    • Restart your PC.

    Then:

look at this guide to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.

    • Scroll down to "How to uninstall the Origin client the hard way"
    • Follow the instructions to the letter.
    • reboot.
    • Download this version of the "OriginSetup.exe"
    • Run the installer as Administrator (Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as an Administrator).
    • Run Origin as an Administrator. (Right click the Origin desktop shortcut > Run As an Administrator)
    • Test.
  • @holger1405

Thank you for your response, I just went through the entire list exactly (again) and I still have the same issue! Small window opens for 5 seconds, closes immediately. Same "getTableData" error in the log.

Try to repair the game. (in Origin > Game Library > right click BFV > Repair) > Test.

    If that don't helps:

    • Make sure Origin is closed.
    • Go to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield V" folder and delete the "bfvTrial.exe" the "bfv.exe" and the "Core" folder.
    • Start Origin > Game library > BFV > Download. (Origin should download only a few files.
    • Test.

    Please repair BFV again.

    Then:

Restart your router in this way:
Pull the power plug > wait 5 minutes > return the power plug

If that not helps, shut down your Windows firewall and disable the real-time scanner of your antivirus software. Evan if it is the Windows Defender and just for testing purpose, don't forget to activate the firewall and the antivirus software later on.)

Should it work after you disabled the firewall, here is a description how to allow a program to communicate through the firewall.

This ports must be open on your Router:

    Origin Ports
    TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
    UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

  • I had hope that this would be the answer as I feel like it must be something related to the authentication being blocked some how, but alas, i still have the same issue

Well, imho, there's very little we can do more on the standard troubleshooting side

I have made EA CMs aware of your case, hopefully they have some more ideas.

    the DxDiag-Report shows a BEX64 Error

    That means,some Runtimes are missing.

Search for the All in One Runtime Libraries on Google and download it,start it and follow the instructions.

Is there any information about the crashes in the Windows Event Viewer?

Are you new in this thread or is this a second account of a person that is already in this thread?

    @Legaatti

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that  with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
