Re: Question on bfv hackers

@sgt2lipton

Sadly no game in this years is 100% cheat protected. That is simply impossible in the modern day and one way or another someone will find a way. The anti-cheat teams try hard to stop them believe me but nothing is 100% full proof. And any professional will tell you the same for any game out there and not just BF.

They will try their best to prevent as much as possible and that is guaranteed at least. And yes reporting helps the teams action the offenders so keep doing that.

  • Yeah it's impossible to protect a game at 100% when it start (the cheat are updated as the games 🙂). We can only wish BFV anti-cheat system and player report will live up to our expectations.

One could take away some of the reason for cheating, like the ranking system, give all full acces to all weapons and perks from first second.

And look into if some of the weapons should be easier to use, eeg aim.

The cheater will cheat anyway, there is not really any reason to cheat unless being banished. 🙂

We need a good reporting system in the game and time will do the rest 🙂.

Some years ago there was an survey abou who cheats and why. It was Public a short time before it was taken Down, it was clearly just for intrenal use.

That survey conclude that 60% of players was willing to che under the right circumstances.

In why they would cheat the 2 biggest Group was:

1: Those that did not have time to play so much they would rank up to get the better weapons and perks.

2: Thoose that did not botheer using time to rank up

Thees 2 Groups contained way over 50% of thoose claiming they could be willing to cheat.

If you mad an Perfect anti cheat system, or something close to that you would loose lot of money, becaus thoose that chaty would not buy the game.

Like the car produsents, medecine etc etc calculate damage and risks,I am sure  also game companies calculates how much cheating a game would tolerate before they loose money on it due to cheating, simplified speaking.

So chasing cheaters as they supposly do now dont work, we seen that for years now.

Only way to signifently reduse cheaters on is to reduce the reason for cheating. Like take avay the ranking system, and the overall performance listings so there is no list to top.

The only way to stop this is with RSP . Trained server admins would handle this by researching a player and then banning them . You wouldn't  stop it all but I'd say 95% , the subtle stuff would be caught in time . The current system Fair Fight  is not working at all .

Looks like we have been let down again, wall-hacking looks to be a favourite choice on bfv because the spotting system is redundant .Dice will lose its core players in future games if it continues ..We need official clan servers to combat the cheats ( live admins) Anti cheat systems are useless. So disappointed they need to invest to combat this issue or Battlefield will die on Pc.

Just tried to refund BFV after a month of playing. I'm not joking when i say that 8/10 games have cheaters. Why would the buyers/community be responsible for a game to work?

No thank you, last time EA. You just lost a customer.

(EA games bought; BFBC2, BF1, BF Battlefront 2 and BFV)

  • So I go to read that article about EA's anti cheat measures and see that at the bottom of the page..... It says:

"Enter mankind’s greatest conflict now with the Battlefield™ V Deluxe Edition or Standard Edition on Xbox One, PlayStation®4, and PC. Play the full game with Origin Access Premier or try it first for 10 hours with EA Access or Origin Access Basic*."

So you don't even need to buy the game to try your cheats out! lol

    Not cool

That's the exact reason this problem is so rampant. Reduce the timer to a half or 1 full hour (or get rid of trials entirely) and you should see 90% of hackers/cheaters disappear

So they are basically saying, they are relying on "anti cheat" software to out do the hack software?... we all know which one is winning.
When the software fails (yet again), human investigation is the only guarantee, ok so the server admins can do something... oh, there are none.
maybe if we play on a managed, private server with admins... oh, there are none.
So, rely on all the PLAYERS to do the work for you? submit reports that go nowhere? You say you "listen to feedback from the community" ... listen all you want, action is the only response we care about... and we all see you lack of it.

you should keep doing that, because most of us come home to enjoy a game not to sit there and report hackers in every game. NO GAME HAS AS MANY HACKERS. NOT EVEN OLD CSGO

They're doing the best they can; you should really be blaming * and other areas that actively sell this software to the masses. Consoles are pretty cheap and it sounds like you guys should just put up with potato graphics if it meant a severe drop in cheats and hackers

( lets not start a blaming anyone, never ends good) - Atic

Spot on, we should all get consoles. That way, they dont have to deal with the problem/whingers anymore because they just simply cant deal with the issue.

Shows how a big company has nothing left in the tank to combat the problem or fight for its consumers.

Dont need to get one when we just have to go to another game/Dev who is doing a more active and better job... how does the saying go? "if you dont like it, dont buy it"

  • How can you say they are doing the best they can ,the industry has allowed hacking site for years to evolve into its own empire that generates serious money, these sites and bank accounts for them should be frozen to resolve this epidemic.. The trouble is this cost vast amounts of time and money and it would effect profits in the short term, I'm not blaming Dice, EA , I blame the gaming industry. .just my opinion

It's more complicated than that. The industry adapts their anti-cheat policies and initiatives every year, but in the end, it's all a bunch of 0's and 1s- the cheater community will always be able to find a way around it. It's like the saying "cut the head off the Hydra and two will grow in its place"; they have to be extremely strategic in how they go about dismantling these businesses

Relying on software to out-do other software is failed approach. Ive watch this over many years with the hacks all one step ahead.

Whats another direction? HUMAN involvement. The time spent on a staff member coding away at the matrix would be better used just looking at the obvious in front of them.

Super high stats on players?.. na, let them keep going. More than 200 reports on a particular player, na... let him go. Spectating a random server and watching what we see daily, na... ill keep coding instead. NO admins... nothing.

All we see is players complaining on the forums of how they were banned with crap stats and the obvious hackers still playing. People reporting the same players for what? nothing happens.

The hacks wont get banned, not because Dice/EA cant do it... they know that no one will be left playing the game. They will lose more money than to be pro active about it to keep legit players happy.

I dont think they understand, I would pay more than $100 and a subscription for a game that is kept clean as much as possible... you can make it as pretty as, the largest scale, fastest running game in the world!... but just leave the door open for cheaters? why should i give you a penny. Gameplay and Fairplay matters to me more... but hey, im old and outdated.

Personally ive been holding out to see that headline of "thousands of hackers blanket banned"... I really do hope it comes but it will all be too late.

Hackers use sub accounts. Especially in the PC version, "chat log remains on the server". And it will be fair judgment.
