Smoke launcher does not make smoke

Summarize your bug I have used the smoke launcher on NUMEROUS occasions where there are no smoke effects. The launcher will fire, reload and no nmoke.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play medic with smoke launcher.
What happens when the bug occurs? No SMOKE.
What should be happening instead? Smoke should deploy.

    UPDATE- this is still an issue after the Jan 29 patch. Smoke does not smoke when deployed.

    Same here. It happens most often when you launch the smoke close to where you are, which causes it to have a large bounce. It seems like something related to its bouncing trips this bug. Bummer is I'm always shooting it close to me, so this bug is like 50% with me. I just switched to the hand smoke grenades, because the launcher is borderline useless with this for me.

    Glad I'm not the only one. I wonder how many times WE SEE smoke on our screen but it doesn't deploy for the enemy and we get killed? I know when it doesn't deploy for me I get killed often....

    Pretty sure this is a server side bug and the smoke actually does deploy, you just don't see it (at least, that's what was happening a while ago)

    I also face this problem about 20% of the times I fire the smoke granade launcher. Classic PS4 here. Amazing how this is STILL a problem today. DICE, please.

    @TTZ_Dipsy- I get killed through where the smoke SHOULD be when the smoke doesn't deploy so it's hard to imagine anybody is seeing it at all... DICE is aware of it and they never mentioned that it's only on the player screen.

    EITHER way - it needs to be fixed. Would be nice if it was addressed before the next BF title is released...
