Interesting observation, and I like the way you're thinking looking for commonalities, I am grateful for any and all assistance that can be provided.
So here's the weird part.....when I click on Check for Updates through Windows, it says I'm all up to date. When I click on HP Support Assistant, it says there are no updates. I do not know why my system isn't seeing the 1809 as an option. I know there was an issue with it and a re-roll out earlier this month. A couple of the resources I found said that it would be available "if your system is compatible", is that just generic meaningless language or should I infer my system isn't compatible for some reason. I have searched and found a few 1809 versions of windows updates, a cumulative update and a security update, not sure if I should manually attempt to download them or not. I use this computer primarily for my small business so I don't want to risk it going down. I'm just perplexed it doesn't see it when I do Check for Updates, that was one of the first things I did last night as basic troubleshooting.
please try to switch over to DX11, if you have your DX12 enable.
Best regards!
Manny

I'll have to try going to DX11 when back on Sunday. Not even sure how to roll it back atm. Will google it.

Do you have to go into Windows and uninstall DX12? Or do you just go into the PROSAVE_profile and change all the DX 12 to 0?
I've gone into that file and all my DX12 settings were already 0.
I just patched everything again and no luck.

Hello @heychadwick,
You should be able to toggle DX12 off in the Advanced Video settings.
Can you please give it a try during a clean boot with no extraneous background processes and see how that goes?
