Unable to use mouse or keyboard in BF5

AMD or Nvidia Model Number AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series I'm aware this is older. It runs all other games fine, and runs this in medium/low adequately. I don't think this has relevance to the actual bug I'm experiencing.

Summarize your bug Brand new install. Mouse cursor shows and will move. No click reponse to anything. Cannot progress to any menu, no highlight as if focus on button is found. Keyboard completely not recognized. Once I turn controller on(x360 wireless) the mouse cursor disappears and will no longer show. The controller takes over. If I turn off controller no further cursor shows regardless.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure. Keyboard unresponsive for me.
What happens when the bug occurs? Not able to use mouse/keyboard.

In addition to details above, I'll advise on the steps I've taken to troubleshoot. (Most of these had reboots between them fyi)
- Disabled Origin in Game globally
- Disabled Origin in Game for BF5
- Disabled Discord overlay
- Uninstall Discord Overlay
- Disabled anti-virus & malwayrebytes
- Disabled all extra services and apps I could recognize
- Ran as admin
- Ran in compatibility mode
- Installed Logitech Setpoint
- Disabled Logitech Setupoint
- Disabled touch service in Windows 10
- Disconnected Xbox 360 wireless reciever.
- installed Vjoy virtual controller just as a last resort
- Created new local user account and started game with other account to see if something in my profile
- Disabled cloud sync, deleted all contents in Documents/Battlefield 5
- Repaired
- Perused what I could find in the registry to see if any settings that stuck out as related (none noticed/found)
- Uninstalled completely and reinstalled the entire app from scratch (including 50GB download, ugghhh).
- Punched a few walls and cursed my constant death as I tried to be precise in sniping while being a terrible controller user in a PC round :-)
Note... No other game has issues...only BF5
I could use help as I've not found any other solutions for my problem, so figured this is time for a bug report. Absolutely going crazy having to use a controller for this on my PC, as I normally only use controllers for non-competitive/platformer type games, and it's slowed me down tremendously in multiplayer.

I just upgraded my GPU to a gtx 970, and now the issue is completely resolved.
Mouse and keyboard work perfectly.
Perhaps the issue is around using a GPU that isn't within minimum game specs...
I kinda suspect it is a case of the game thinking that you are playing on an xbox because it cannot detect a supporting pc gpu idk.
Best of luck to people who still have this problem. It sucks but unless the devs fix the issue (unlikely?) the only solution in my experience is upgrading hardware.
