Xbox account now linked to someone else's EA account

They would have to do that. I have no access to their EA account. I now only have access to the Microsoft side. Support basically said my original EA account never existed and when I try password resets with my email, it says no account with my email exists. Since I can't unlink it through EA, am I screwed?  

Could someone have gotten into my account and then changed the primary email? Or just a bug that someone overwrite who was connected to my Xbox ID. 

At this point, it looks like I will no longer be able to play EA games on my 15 year old Xbox ID.

I tried support but because I do not have access to the ea account that is linked to my xbox account, they can't help me. Just going in circles at this point. Only options that I can see are to never play EA games on my 15 year old Xbox account or hope that whoevers email now runs my account decides to reset their password and make their account active again.

Same issue. I'm on my XBOX App and saw an advertisement for the new Wildhearts game, and a Trial available through EA PLAY. There was a link to see it in the EA ap, and upon clicking it the XBOX app tries to Link with the EA app. This is when I'm notified that My xbox account is already linked to an EA account. But its not mine. My XBOX account is also my microsoft account information, same login info. I've been on both Microsoft log in and the xbox side of the log in and neither show i'm linked to any EA account. My understanding is this link happened through EA and therefor can only unlink through EA.. sadly its someone else who was doing shady business.
I'm guessing this happened a while ago before two way authentication protocols were available. I dont use EA often, and never had the PC app until today.
I think if there's going to be a handshake between applications to connect accounts, then it should be accessible via either application to undo this. Currently as it stands, it was done through EA and can only be undone through EA. EA should be the ones to fix this, but from the comments I have little hope. I'll try calling them tomorrow since their "24 hour online chat" is a lie. I'll also reach out to microsoft and see if they can help me on their end.

No No no you are confused. You got it backwards. Yes you are right, if you log into yoru EA account you can unlink connections you have to it. The problem is someone else already connected THEIR EA account to our connections, ei XBOX, or STEAM. How do you propose we get into that theifs EA account to unlink it from our XBOX accounts, so we can then connect it to OUR EA accounts s😞

I have the same problem.

I tried to connect on wild hearts and it says another person account is link to my xbox account, I tried contact ea support two times and they told me the same thing both times:

"We've sorry you're having trouble logging into your account. Check out our article for troubleshooting your login issues: https://help.ea.com/help/account/im-locked-out-of-my-ea-account We can only help if you're having trouble logging into your EA Account. For help logging into your platform accounts, like your Xbox Gamertag or Steam ID, you'll need to reach out to your platform's support team."

so they refuse to help me because this is clearly a problem with the ea account
