Year 1 Catch Up Pack issues
Hi there, so,
I purchased Battlefield V: Year 2 Edition today for my first time from the Xbox Store. All went fine. I then installed the game, and when i went to the Store tab it gave me a prompt to buy the Year 1 Catch-up Pack for 3000 coins.
I thought oh this looks cool then I spent money for the Catch Up Pack. Straight after my friend called me an idiot then I realised it already came with the catch up pack! Not sure why the store wanted me to purchase it though...
I then contact EA Support, I get through to a real nice guy who said he completely understands how this went wrong he said to ring Microsoft Support and I can get a refund. He even sent me an email which I sent to Microsoft Support as evidence EA are saying they need to refund me for the 3000 points purchase.
Microsoft then refund me. As part of their email they sent me (please see the attachment) they’ve said that anything purchased with those in game points would be removed.
I then go on Battlefield V, I get a notification saying I have like a ton of unclaimed stuff from the catch-up pack. Sure enough, I go to my shipment place in armory and Xbox Support no lie took every single item from the Year One Catch Up Pack out of there!
So, I paid a ton of money (bearing in mind I’m a Uni student, hard times) on the Year 2 Edition, and then I pay again for the same pack by accident, then I’m refunded and then my pack is removed completely.
I contact EA Support and again they just tell me to speak to Xbox. Xbox have now responded saying there’s nothing they can do it must be a bug and to speak to the game developers. (Like, yup ok because I can just phone them!)
I’m upset about this really this is my first time ever on a EA game and I’m going round in circles and now I’m about £60 out of pocket.
Has anyone else had similar experiences and how did you resolve this issue?
