Im having the same issues.
Thank you for this but it didn't work for me.
I have the same issue with battlefield 5 with gamepass pc on EA Desktop. Has anyone found a solution yet? I tried to allow it in firewall and add exception to antivirus but still no luck. Also the solution twistdd mentioned doesn't work for me cause there is no folder named outdatedEADesktop since I recently downloaded EA Desktop and haven't gotten any updates yet.
I read in a different forum, that someone had success launching the game after creating a new local administrator account under windows, deleting the old account and the game and reinstalling the game under the new account. This sounds like a lot of work, but it might be worth the try.
I uninstalled the games.
Then cleared the cache and reinstalled each game.
This solved the issues for me.
am surprised that Microsoft allowed this partnership to be honest, the EA play desktop platform is utter trash, it should atleast work!
I'm still having this issue, my EA desktop doesn't even detect my Xbox Game pass... extremely frustrating.
EA has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They put me on hold until the call disconnected and the employee was extremely rude.
Same issue here with Jedi Fallen Order... what a joke
I've had trouble like this before, here's what I did:
- File Explorer > Program Files > Electronic Arts > EA Desktop > EA Desktop > App Recovery
- Run App Recovery as Admin
- Clear Cache
- Should run for a while
Hope this helps :D
Heres what I did:
Uninstalled the garbage, went back to Origin and my games worked.
Great launch, months later still broken.
This worked for me. Run the app recovery and it launched on the next attempt.
The issue occurred after I renewed Xbox Game Pass manually (auto-renew was turned off), so I guess that's why it happened for me?
