Players Overall ratings dropping for no reason

on Xbox I've had several players dropped in mid-season for no reason. 89 rb drops to 66 and other players in the 80s dropped to 50's and one player went from an 82 to a 32.

Me too - I have a 91 overall TE go down to 71 overall. Players in mid 60s I noticed have dropped a couple overall points too. 

Note: the stats have not dropped, stats are still the same, just the overall displaying on both depth chart/roster + player card are impacted

Further observation: star players still retain their star even if dropping from 91 to 71. Definitely just a display issue of overall

It's tedious, but for each player you believe has declined, change their position to a similar one when it's time to change player positions. This way, you'll see their true rating. When you go to switch them back, simply switch them back. I recommend doing this for each player because you may discover hidden gems.

This just happened to me as well.  I found it happened after I edited a couple new recruited players in a new season.  All the player tendencies changed for every player on my roster.  OVRs all changed, mostly went down, but individual attributes seem to be unaffected.  Wondering if this is a new bug with the patch that went through this morning, though admittedly I only just started my second season in dynasty, so I wouldn’t have seen it up until now anyway.

Yes, this seems to work when editing positions in the player card as well.  Very tedious to fix the entire roster, but this does seem to be a workaround.  Good catch!

EDIT:  The player card fix only works on recruited players.  Any real ones have to wait until the off-season because real players can’t be edited in the player cards.  So if you have any real seniors, you’re SOL.

EDIT 2:  The position change fix doesn’t seem to work 100% of the time.  I had a newly recruited Physical WR that got switched to a Route Runner with the glitch.  Trying the edit position trick then changed him to a Deep Threat.  He seems stuck there for now, 5 OVR points lower than where he started.

The solution would work but I didn’t notice it until I set up my depth chart after position changes were done now I’m to the part where I customize my schedule and select recruits so I can’t edit the players or switch positions. I’m thinking it’s because of the patch this morning because it was all good until after that.
