@DANGERGOOSE1Truth I am getting tired of the " we should be happy that we have a CFB game" I am the customer who is spending my hard-earned money for your product give us what we are accustomed to. If I want to make a 6ft 2 inch 240lb rb maxed out I should be able to with no problems. Gamming is living out your fantasies so why not let us cook. I garuntee this is the reason they didn't release this game on PC. The PC community would mod the heck out of this game with no constraints.
I agree. Video games are to have fun and do whatever we want. Real, fake or make belive.

As an update to this issue, it looks like ratings editing is possible at least in offline franchise but I would assume also online franchise. The attached image shows options for setting up a dynasty. One of the options is "Player edit permission" which is set on Commissioner only but presumably "everyone has permission" is also an option. If you look in the top right at the clarification text, it says "This setting controls whether or not a league member can edit player ratings on their team. Regardless of this setting, only the commissioner can edit ratings on other teams."
This is great news for everyone, but especially solo players. The only bummer is if you are playing with a trusted group of friends you can't open up ratings editing for all teams for them as well. It should be noted that this was in an offline dynasty, so it is unknown to me yet if this option is the same in online dynasty. Would be kind of a bummer if it's only in offline dynasty, and if Teambuilder teams end up being available only for online dynasty, but we'll have to wait and see. It should also be noted that the explanatory text for a similar option in Madden (second attached image) is different not a copy and paste and is referring to X Factor abilities which this game doesn't have, so it at least seems that player rating editing is available in some capacity.
So it would seem that either the videos we saw were indeed an early build that just didn't have the feature yet and it was planned all along, or they heard our complaints and added it. Next on the docket is news on numbering...

We shall see they broke me when they didn't release for PC. I hope they don't fumble this.
- DANGERGOOSE11 year agoSeasoned Ace@antpboy12 Yeah, best to keep wary for new info still and wait for actual release. I've seen conflicting reports from streamers answering questions on this in the last couple hours. But if it turns out we cannot edit ratings after seeing that image that says commissioners can enable it, then I expect a lot of pushback on this from the community, and EA would need to enable it not only to save face but also to even get a purchase from people like me.

made an account just to reply to this .. i’ve been stressing CRAZY knowing there is limited roster customization for this game .. it’s 50% of the game for me .. very important .. having no create player was a BUMMER.. not being able to edit ratings of current players was a BUMMER..
but not being able to edit fake auto generated recruits number is asanine
NOT Looking forward to my 5 star WR who is 5’9 175 lbs be forced to wear #87 like it’s 1998 because EA allows us to edit recruit names but not numbers
two of my starting DB’s numbers being in the 40’s is also aesthetically pleasing
and I love that my kicker and punter get coveted numbers like #2 and #5
there’s nothing normal or realistic about that and it’s so avoidable

@YoungSeigeYeah, I am confused about realism point lol. That means that no other team should be allowed to win the NC but Michigan. 😆 The other issue is what if an under the radar player blows up this year would we have to start our Dyansty over for that player's ratings boost? None of this makes any sense.
