"Pretty meaty"... just read through them. There are maybe two issues listed here that I had even heard about before this update. I am genuinely curious what goes in to deciding the priority workflow on these updates? NONE of the major complaints about this game are addresses or even acknowledged. Customer engagement malpractice.
Hey folks,
I wanted to drop in here and just mention a few things.
I know it's definitely frustrating to see a game update that doesn't include a fix for an issue that you've been reporting. It can feel discouraging when you've been sharing feedback, but the changes you're hoping for haven't been added.
Sometimes it takes time to fix things. Not every bug or issue is as simple as it might seem. It's also not always straightforward when it comes to making changes to the game. What might seem like an easy update might have other implications that need to be tested and evaluated. Just because something hasn't been fixed or changed in this update doesn't mean that we're ignoring it.
I also wanted to say that your feedback isn't going unnoticed. Several of the issues that were fixed in this update came from reports that we gathered here on these forums. Others might have been spotted during a Twitch stream, or from a post on Reddit. We're always looking all over the internet for things that are causing headaches. Here on AHQ, I and the other members of the forums team will continue to pass along your bug reports, feedback, and suggestions.
We know that you're passionate about this game, and we know that you want it to be as great as possible. We're here to help with that as much as we can. Please don't feel discouraged when it comes to giving us your feedback or reporting issues.
For those of you who are running into frustrating issues, I wanted to say thank you for sticking with us and for taking the time to share your thoughts here on the forums. The detailed info you share with us here is helpful when we're trying to get things fixed.
Thank you once again for coming to visit us here on AHQ, and for letting us know what you think. We'll keep working to make sure your feedback and reports are seen. Whenever we've got more news to share, we'll be here to let you know.

@EA_Kent Not as simple as one would think huh?? How about when playing as Texas in Road to the CFP they are stuck with Texas A&M's playbook. How is that not a simple fix? Multiple threads on here and Reddit. It's not like Texas is some low level crap team that nobody would use. Fix the game we paid for!!
- 1 year ago@EA_Kent I just want to have a simple explanation on why we can't edit fake players lmao. Not that hard I'd think to say we can't because X, we're trying to but Y
- 1 year ago@EA_Kent just said the same thing three different times in three different paragraphs . trying to fix stuff, can’t fix it, thanks for reporting and thanks for coming here…..bruhh can we at least get the damn scoreboard back that yall took with the update?????????? smh this seems on purpose because yall can’t handle the criticism of your broken game you just charged $70-$100 for.

We'll be a lot more pleasant when your game is out of beta. It's not a difficult concept to understand.

@EA_KentWith all due respect and I mean that, The point, Kent, is that these issues SHOULD have been tested before the game came out Its quite obvious that no testing or minimal testing was done in order to meet the deadline you set. This happens with every game EA puts out it seems. When someone pays $100 for a video game we expect it to work properly. We are aware there are some bugs here and there, but since everything went ONLINE, rather than offline releases, CD-Roms, Cartridges etc, down went the game quality when the games came out. Because why not just update it with patches! During my time at EA and speaking with many people when the office was in Maitland, we spoke a lot about how EA wanted to implement this model of release first and fix later. I questioned that as saying why would one want to do that? The answer was, well we have to put these games out every year, there isn't enough time. Well there was plenty of time to make this game. I think most people would have been happy to wait until next year for a PERFECT game. Since we are talking about NCAA Football 25 and not Madden or EA Sports FC here, examine all of the bug reports. Some are stupid and not pressing. Others are. I know that you looked at them and I know that your boss has it sitting in his inbox or with a Jira notification assuming EA still uses that, but is he really doing something about it? Or does there need to be another meeting after and another meeting on how quickly we can get this together. The real bugs, the ones people are saying are game breaking like Overtime not working for example, the game crashing or freezing during it. Simming Normal can create problems as well, there's no kick off in the second half and the team that had the ball at the end of the first half and was supposed to kick off has the ball where it left off! This ruins the game. All of this would have been noticed if the game was tested by someone who knows how to test the game. There was no Beta for us to play. I saw nothing around here in Orlando regarding hiring temporary testers to come in and play the game like you had done many many years ago with Madden. All of this would have been fixed if you had listened to what I said all those years ago on how to fix a lot of these problems. But apparently your execs know better than me. This is why people are pissed off... its like you do not care and a forum post is not going to solve the problems at hand. A semi finished game updated over the next 6 months to fix game breaking issues is not acceptable at all. There is no way that no one at EA knew about these issues. There is literally no way. I know how you guys work first hand.. The priority is Money, not customer satisfaction. The biggest release in recent memory.... what did you think was going to happen? A riot... well my friend, you got one. And no matter how much you pay bloggers and reviewers to review the game it give it rave reviews, the people have spoken. I like the game, but I'm afraid to play it because when it comes time to win an important game, Im worried the game is going to crash in OT, or something bizarre will occur at half time. Among other issues listed on here. Maybe tell us what the priorities are. What are you going to fix for the next update? More transparency would be nice for a change.
Regards- 1 year ago@aenima6969 if they want to do it like that then they should take payment like that too. i’ll give them ten bucks and another ten when the update come and then another ten for the next update. sounds dumb right? i paid for the full game in working condition but that’s not what i got. i’m pissed and i’m going to get people together to do something about it. i know there’s a lot of people tired of this bs with these games especially madden and now ncaa ea is on a lot of peoples shitlist

The 4-2-5 is still not working for Custom Playbooks. The option is there but the formation does NOT show up

A issue I’m having is I went to the college football playoffs with Michigan lost in the first round and ended up losing half a star in prestige how? They just won the national championship last year and I’m only in year one how did we lose a star? Meanwhile Georgia finished 6-6 didn’t lose anything. This makes no sense

This terrible patch has killed the game for me. You're going in the wrong direction EA. Try actually testing some of this garbage out before you throw it on top of us.

A couple of things
I was under the impression that the maintenance yesterday was to correct some of the issues presented with the patch, specifically around the inability to see the incoming freshman and change their positions. APPEARS THIS IS FOR ONLINE ONLY not OFFLINE.
Given the misconception, there needs to better communication about what is in/out of scope. Also, there is a bit of disparity here that OFFLINE is not able to get these quick fixes like ONLINE. Based on other games, there is usually the ability to hot patch, which isn't a full patch that is pushed out, wouldn't that be an option for OFFLINE since it has the same issues as ONLINE?
There are too many channels of communication and they are not consistent enough. I think X had the update on what the server maintenance was to fix but it does not seem to be listed here
Overall if EA could do a better job of informing people what is going on, it could go a long way

I do appreciate that.
My issue with not being able to adjust and Save our Depth Charts is that this appears to be a clear and obvi oversight which has yet to be acknowledged let alone addressed. Every time we go into a road to CFP game, we're forced to waste a valuable pause to set them up and HOPE our opponent isn't a * and let's us finish.
This wouldn't be as much of an issue in Madden where starters and backups are fairly clear, but in the college game we've got "backups" who are clear upgrades over starters...even with more abilities.
What makes things worse is that there are players we can't even use in this mode cause they don't even show up in game ..even though they're better than the starter with more abilities.
So while the things patched and addressed were good (especially pursuit angles) were good, Depth Charts should have been at the top of the list as a clear oversight at launch.
I say this with all respect cause I know the dev team is doing their best. It's just so fundamental to football gaming that I find it hard to believe this was intentional.
