During the offseason there is an “Encourage Transfer” line that allows us to essentially cut players, but for some reason we cannot cull the garbage that the previous coach added as incoming scholarship players when we join a new team. So we are then forced to cut good players from our roster to make room for players that will just get cut next year, this is the worst part about trying to rebuild a team. If I’m the new coach I should be able to rescind anyone’s scholarship, regardless if they were just given it or not. Moreover, when we encourage transfer, they just disappear from the face of the earth and don’t even show up in the transfer portal or on anyone’s roster, which is not realistic either. I’d like to see them either just show up as a walk on for a team that couldn’t get enough players for their position or they show up in the following transfer portal, any idea would be better than it is now.
