Computer Depth Charts

I like to edit computer rosters in dynasty mode to play against historic players for different schools. Obviously, this comes with editing players and ratings. Even after I make the changes, and they show #1 on the depth chart, the computer still doesn’t play them. I have to wait until the next season when they acknowledge them. Often times they transfer. Is there anyway to get around this? I’ve even tried to change positions of those ahead of them, but that didn’t work either.
