Disappointing Roster Update

Biggest issue (has existed since Aug 29 update) is that when starting a new dynasty any NIL player who was added or had their position adjusted in any roster update will have their Archetype changed and their OVR drop.

Large number of players with the incorrect class listed.

Large number of players with the incorrect jersey number.

Still several auto generated players on just about every team. Some teams have far more than others.

I realize that there are about 11,000+ players in the game, but this really isn't acceptable from the viewpoint of players coming from NCAA, where the community was far more thorough and accurate with such a critical part of the game. Six weeks between roster updates is a long time to wait be so disappointed, with the increasing notion that nothing will be done to bring this to an acceptable standard.

  • I stopped playing Madden because I was continually disappointed with the lack of attention to aspects of the game that I felt were important (rosters, defensive playbooks, defensive alignments, out of date roster management positions like LE RE LOLB ROLB etc). I love the NCAA series and had high hopes for this game. I have enjoyed the gameplay and game so far, but I have been continually disappointed in these same areas.

The amount of players that have the wrong jersey number, wrong height, wrong weight is absolutely absurd.  You are right, to wait 6 weeks into the season for the first update, and they don't fix these things is laughable.  Since we don't have the ability to edit real players, we can't change them on their own.

Also, the fact that there are so many scholarship athletes that aren't yet in the game that did opt in, is also ridiculous.  They have several fake players on nearly every team or players that decided to transfer or were put on medical that are still on the roster.

I was so excited for this game, but I have been completely let down by the lack of updating simple things like this.

  • Not having the ability to edit the players is an excellent point. I get reason why we can't, but this used to provide an answer to this problem in the past. Now that we can't edit existing players its 100% up to EA to deliver accurate rosters (I am not referring to ratings) and they are not doing so at what I would consider an acceptable level of accuracy. To still have this many accuracy errors and auto generated players left on the base roster is laughable.
