Something I really loved about the old NCAA games that I’ve missed in Madden is the ability to set any player at any position in each formation in dynasty mode. Maybe you want your backup HB in for certain formations by default. Maybe you want a TE out wide as a blocker in a specific set. Maybe you want to sneak a backup QB in for trick plays. Formation subs allow for lots of creativity, but it doesn’t seem to be in the game. Is this something that could potentially be added in a future update?

I agree I really would like formation subs so I can use my new recruits in special packages.

Well I don’t know that I’ve seen much “woke crap” in the game, and if there is any, I doubt there’s much overlap with formation subs that led to people only having time to pick one. My guess is that, since Madden is the base for a lot of features, they just didn’t add formation subs in. But they should, so I hope that changes.

Exactly. I like to have some very high speed receivers at the bottom of my depth chart just for jet sweeps or screens. I should be able to set that up outside of the game.

Yes. I know you can sub people in mid-game. It would just be a lot more convenient to be able to do that under the “coach” tab outside of games in dynasty mode.

@A1_Burman_ Yes, this can be done in-game using the substitution button (triangle on PS5, Y on Xbox) but you only have 10 seconds to do this between plays.

I’m actually really happy with the game. Some things are missing or worse from NCAA 14 but others are better. Room for improvement, but I do think it’s easily the best modern football game on the market. This is just a feature that doesn’t seem to hard to implement that would be a noticeable improvement to dynasty mode for many users.
